The small items with ball shaped items on the end are a form of shunting pole. It was only part of the early Sentinel, and was discontinued on later models.
Great model and my favourite loco! The real one is at the heritage line I work on East Somerset Railway nr Cranmore P39 is soon going in for some essential work, been working hard for the last 20 years or so . Thanks for the video.
Your welcome hope i did your favourite loco some good justice in this review and wow thats amazing that the actual one is on the line you work on!!! Must be amazing to be able to see it so often hope its back on the rails soon! Thanks for watching😊
Sentinel Sensation? A not unattractive small shunting locomotive that isn’t too bad!! Not my favourite diesel locomotive, but a good, rugged reliable locomotive for shunting wagons or carriages in the marshalling yard.
I’m sorry!! Although I like this little shunting locomotive, it’s not the sort of machine that I would want to buy and use!! I like a locomotive that hauls passenger trains. Most of my locomotives are steam locomotives with DCC Sound.
Love all the info in the messages and no didnt know it had a leyland motor in and a shunting pole you say will have to look what that was used for and no worries at all some locos people will love and some they wont or may even hate i have some myself that i just simply dont wish to own i have plenty of steamers too and have more now with sound and a few amazing locos to share with you all when i get to them! Thank you for all the awesome comments and info loved reading them and Thanks for watching😊
That’s a very detailed small locomotive that, when it comes down to brass tacks, can haul up to a hundred tons.

That's a great looking little loco... Cheers James 🙂👍
Fantastic loco and even better it can work on 1st radius enabling smaller layouts to use it too! Thanks for watching😊

Thank you as always bud and Thanks for watching😊
I must admit that I’m not a diesel fan. In fact, I would never work at diesel galas when I worked as a volunteer porter at the Epping Ongar Railway.
Did you know that the Sentinel has a Leyland Truck engine?
