    But if Saudi want to be serious. They can't just give all the players in the top 4 clubs. Maybe now they should do top 8 clubs. Then 12. Little by little add more and more because can't Saudi only add 7 foreigners in each squad? And if every club had a very good XI. Then that would make the Saudi National team even worse. Because none of them would play. So they need to fund more clubs to be more competitive.

    • @nazimbelaidi6486
      @nazimbelaidi6486 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Al hilal has been a dominant team so Al nasser had Ronaldo and mane, Al ahli had kessie, firmino and mahrez. So they are building. Also I disagree with you on the point that the saudi team would be worse cause saudi players will improve playing with these players because of their talent and work ethic.

    • @Phantom-ez4zv
      @Phantom-ez4zv 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That was phase one, the other teams gonna go big, since saudi has opened up the possiblity of owning a club (this was not the case in the past) now lower divison clubs are bought by big companies and bringing up solid players to build a team so they can be promoted to the saudi premiere league, after promotion they will go nuts on the signing, also this year watchout for alqadsiyah its owned by aramaco and they just got promoted to first division, that company has money for days.

    Media rights will be a crucial element if the Saudi Pro League and the state tries to become a top 5 league in the world. I do believe MLS has the edge over Saudi in regards to a massive 10-year deal with Apple. I could make these exact arguments with U.S. Soccer except I'm far more realistic.

      As a fan of Cristiano ronaldo I've caught a couple of games but its difficult to find them streaming online and in english? not sure if they rectified that recently. They definitely are behind other non-english speaking leagues that have english commentary and accessible streaming internationally.
      The league is weird. Like it seems fixed that Al Nassr (cr7's team) was able to compete in the asian champions league this season on a technicality that one other saudi team dropped out of the competition and Al Nassr didn't earn that qualification with the league table of last year. All the saudi teams are clearly controlled by the government so it's really odd if they told one saudi team to bow out of the competition for the sake of al nassr.

    Most English fans couldn't care less. Even if they were to become the most successful league (which they won't). Real fans support their own local clubs and will always support their English clubs and the English Leagues. Most of us are not like the glory-hunting plastic fans that currently gloam on to the English Premier League and would at the drop of a hat, move their support to any of the other national clubs and leagues, if they started becoming the new destination for the "celebrity" footballers. That's something that real football fans understand and fake plastic fans will never get.

    Personally no matter who goes there I won’t watch it, just like I don’t watch MLS for Messi. It isn’t the players that most football fans follow, it’s the clubs. Firmino and Mane both went to Saudi and even though I’m a Liverpool fanatic I don’t even know who they play for nor do I care. It’s a dead league and won’t last long.
