Very impressive river check-raise by Elton Tsang @ 31:07 . It's a good play to check his whole range on the river, and valueraise with AA and TT and A2, because Paul is supposed to bet all his Kx. As for Paul Phua's spot, I think KJ is not a great hand to call with because it blocks QJ which is one of the bluffs Elton can have. KT should be the primary calling hand for Paul Phua because that blocks TT, also if Paul Phua ever flats AK preflop then AK is a good calling hand too because it blocks AA. ... Yeah it was an extremely loose call. It was a great bluff that should have got through. I think he was just scared of being bluffed out of a big pot on TV. Even when he crying called you could see he was expecting to be beat
Good size bet esp since its a good 80% of his remaining stack. Hard choice to make when you just sat down and got a nice hand.
From watching Paul Phua he just isn't one to fold. Very hard to bluff and is so rich irl he won't be scared by the size of the reraise. Maybe good for balance in future spots for Elton but on that specific hand I think Paul always calls.
Good reasoning when u play online against regs, but they got dynamic and fact its televised they mess with each other a lot, i think Paul is never folding a K here, and Elton realized this after the hand.

EverDayBest he didn’t really get any action other than Dwans bad call with the A3. He’s a great player though especially at tournaments. I don’t blame him for playing nitty in this game it seemed to work for him since these guys splash around so much with nothing.
he's actually primarily a cash game player. only more recently focused more on tournaments. was one of the end bosses in the nosebleeds online. but not sure the macau guys will like inviting a guy back who plays so tight (i.e. folding QJ to a single button open) and also just kind of sits on his phone
elton on the other hand is like the ultimate live nosebleed cash game pro. the guy plays super loose, gives action, has huge cajones. and from what it seems like (based on what some of the pros say about him) he annihilates these games.
He's loosened up a bit more in this episode. My comments were relating to ep 1,2 & 3. He seems to be mostly playing premium hands.

Anyone else watching episode 1 and 2 in anticipation for Eltons stack to crumble faster than the Twin Towers? Announcers saying he was playing great. Dude was hitting flops against opponents missing draws. Without hitting flops, turns and rivers he makes bad plays. Sure enough, stack goes bye bye.
