How far are you casting out you think? How packed does it usually get on weekends? I was supposed to go over but woke up late and didn't want to drive 2 hrs for a crappy spot. Thanks for video 👍
Floodgates have been on since Tuesday morning I believe, went yesterday and got a few small ones but I think the longer the floodgates are open the better it should get.
@@reyreyfishing Hmmm...interesting setup. I did a more traditional Carolina rig, with the weight in-line with the bait and sliding. I got snagged every time I cast. I will have to try your setup.
Thank you for your sharing, have you tried bigger jig head (i.e. 2oz) with bigger fluke on the day floodgates are open? thanks
I have not tried 2oz, I've tired 1-1.5oz but I prefer the smaller ones since thats what I'm most comfortable with
How's the fishing during the winter here?
They barely generate water in winter due to no rain/low lake levels so its not as good as rainy seasons
How many cfs, was the water releasing at this time?
Not exactly sure but I know it was between 20-23k
another great video, keep them coming...
Appreciate it , will do 💪🏾🔥

Its usually a lil busier on weekends and I was casting about 250-300 ft

@@reyreyfishing thanks for the update. I will try your set up. Is shad there yet?
Are they open rn bro ? They been telling me they are but when I check on google shows me all gates closed.
They closed yesterday bro 🙁but hopefully open again soon with all the rain
@@reyreyfishing hopefully bro 😎 lmk so I can pull up and fish with you
Great video. Are you retrieving as soon as your bait hits the water, or are you giving it some time to drop to the bottom?
Appreciate it !! 🙏🏽 and I’m giving it a few seconds to sink, about 3-5 seconds then just bouncing it back so it doesn’t always stay low and snag

Thanks for showing your setup bro, good info. I was there last week and my top water and jerkbaits were not getting much.
