Wow, thank you for this podcast! So very interesting. I was fortunate enough to have a course on immersive virtual reality in education this year in my MEd program. Another interesting case study involves soft skill education involves the VR app BodySwap. A study took depressed patients and put them in a VR environment, looking at a little girl. The little girl would start to cry and the user would be tasked with consoling her. Then, the user would “swap bodies” with the little girl (would take the little girl’s perspective) and would receive all of their own kind words. The study found that a single 15 minute session was equivalent to several months of CBT therapy. Thanks again for this podcast, super cool!
