Im curious how this ranks in terms of boots gone through per season? Would think Terry would probably use the most boots out of most people in the league/world.
Im a Manc Through and through, fucking hate the blues... But It has to be said that JT seems a good bloke, the amount of hate he gets is ridiculous when you think about how loved Giggsy is, despite his less than admirable shagging preferences. Especially when you consider that he's been a true warrior for England and on an international scene I can't think of an Englishmen that's been more world class since his peak, deserves more respect if you ask me.

Jun Sung highest scoring pl defender of all time and he's the influential centerback the pl has seen. Captain of one of the best pl teams and has more individual accolades that support that he is the best. Always was in the same breath as Puyol and Nesta when Terry was in his prime making world XI squads

We all know that he'll go to the MLS after he leaves Chelsea. All good European and British footballers do. I imagine he'll try and get a contract at New York City FC to play alongside Lampard

Chase The Horizon Designated Player. MLS have a salary cap, but you're allowed three designated players that can be paid more.
MLS teams pretty much always have midfielders or forwards (easier to sell the shirts and gain attention, I guess) as the DPs. Liam Ridgewell is a DP, but he doesn't earn much. NYCFC have Pirlo, Villa, and Lampard as their DPs. LA Galaxy have Gerrard, de Jong, Ashley Cole, Gio Dos Santos and Keane playing for them, but De Jong and Cole aren't designated players (De Jong is guaranteed a DP contract if he plays a certain amount of games this season.)
He could go to MLS, but there isn't an obvious club. China seems more likely in my opinion.

Yeah, it's strange, I think eventually they'll have to up it. I don't think it's a terrible idea, but three isn't many at all. I'm not sure, but now he's agreed a new deal at Chelsea anyway. Maybe by the time that deal is up, MLS will have upped the number of DPs allowed.
