Me doing some arena on 4.1 PTR with someone who plays both rogue and warrior.

I was actually wondering, what's better: frostbolt or scorch? Cause the slow in frostbolt grants you 6% more damage to arcane spells so was jw

you do know that you have other damaging instants than arcane barrage? if you did fireblast on the mage in second fight you would have had him alot earlier

he has to use Arcane Blast, it used to be u were able to kill people with barrage, or mow them down with missles, but thats not the case, missles dont have enough stopping power like they used to, so AB is the only way to kill

How come you never use your arcane missle procs? I know in BGS it was a dinner bell to get all the dps to kill you. But in arena why not use it? Just wonderin never had a high lvl mage just played with premades on the ptr.

@HorridiusArcaneMage Try the addon "spellstealer", shows the eligible steals in the order they will be plucked on your present target. Great in PVE for those " oh, didnt know i could take that" moments.
Note, don't steal elem bulwark from Ozruk. people qq

@Owliganka I learned quite a bit from the video actually. It's not just spamming Arcane blast at people. If you notice how rarely he uses Mirror Image, and when he does WHY he uses it. He uses Scorch a LOT and I'm quite curious as to why, I don't use it yet in my set up.
Take note to how he moves around LoS(Line of Sight), the spells he counters and the timing of the polymorphs. I think your looking at the wrong stuff in the video Owl.

I saw many cataclysm pvp movies of arcane mage, but this is the best of them. Of course, your skills arent so good and you should to study, but you already can say that arcane mages are strong in arena=)

@HorridiusArcaneMage yea man, if they did that tho, every1 would realy say mages are OP, cus missles will deal like 50-65k damage without critz, on top of a 14k barrage lol, an thats without critz lol, but honestly the only time i use missles ever, is to look cool on a BG, thiers almost no utility for it really, because, the damage is to low, and it lets every1 knw that im channeling, wich puts me a higher risk for stuns an silences lol, its just useless in BGs almost uselesss lol

imagine if arcane missles were still the same way as they were back in the day, do u knw how hard the missles would be hitting right now?!? Missles would be doing around 8-13k damage per missles that gets shot out, and they shoot 5 in like 2secs, so they had to nerf the missle damage by alot, cus thats over 50k damage in 2secs right thier, not counting critz so yea, STFU all u ppl about AB spam
