The european actresses focus on the roles they play, not so much of whether they look good doing it. Brigette Bardot and Glenda Jackson are no where as 'attractive' as they were in their twenties or thirties but it has not stopped them of moving forward in their lives to accomplish other achievements that enrich their loves.
I'm with Jennifer Aniston, "You look good for your age" feels like such a backhanded compliment. Age shouldn't have anything to do with it. It really is just a number.
Well I don't agree that age is just a number seeing is that a lot of health problems and complications are directly tied to your physical age, I do think saying somebody is pretty for a (insert noun) is unkind. Just like some people say you're pretty for a dark skin girl, a big girl, a tall girl etc. You're essentially saying that the likelihood to be attractive in those groups is considerably lower.
Anyone who insults women for aging is a groomer for teen girls, or they wouldn't be so vicious. Look up anything on grooming, and you will see the pattern. Men who groom teens absolutely HATE older women because they are too smart! They don't fawn and believe everything they hear anymore, so they are useless to these men, who want them gone before they warn others. The fact that they are so hateful shows how insecure and desperate they are. All actresses and models have been thru this, because the men flock to where young girls are away from family and friends (hollywood), so they are vulnerable.

I think Paulina (and anyone who thinks she needs surgical alteration) needs to update their eye exam: she was stunning as a supermodel and she has not changed one single bit. Sure she's aged but she still looks stunning. Western society places insane standards on each other and it boggles my mind how brainwashed and oblivious we are to that. Also: Gabrielle Union told to "dress her age"?????????? I thought she was in her THIRTIES. Whoever made that comment clearly is jealous. She looks amazing no matter what her age is. So do ALL women. I work with women every day of my life, of all ages. It's sad that every time I give one a compliment...usually those that are over 60... THEY, not me, will almost ALWAYS add "for my age" to MY compliment. I find this sad and a statement of where society has put us and the female population over the years, mostly through the media, and especially due to hollywood depictions. It's got to stop. The self-esteem loss is unimaginable.

Definition of a "clap back" to be something said DIRECTLY to the person tossing the insult. These are not "clap backs"...these are simply responses. valid ones, for sure, but...NOT "clap backs".
Maybe, instead of saying to older women, "you look good or great or fantastic", we should be saying you ARE good or great or fantastic. Saying that "you look" still seems to put that emphasis on a woman's physical beauty over thier actual value as a vibrant & intelligent being, bringing it back to that shallowness of looks over personality & the true value of a mature woman & all the wonderful things she has to offer.
