Awesome stuff! I haven't pre-ordered this guy yet, but I snagged 4 others in the line so far. So excited that this collaboration happened as I've always wished there were Harryhausen monster models that were close to the scale of his original puppets. Dying to see more unboxing videos like this one!

thanks, Steve. We have been working closely with the folks at StarAce to make this as accurate as possible. Great to hear this positive feedback. Ray would be delighted.

I have never seen such and don't believe any other similar scale product that the Star Ace engineers have done to incorporate adjustable eyeballs. That is incredible !
Also the Ymir being one of Harry's creations to influence the creature design in the pilot episode of Star Wars, The Book of Boba Fett series.

thanks, Victor the Star Ace teams are magicians with this glorious work. When Ray died in 2013 Goerge Lucas said:
"there would likely have been no Star Wars without Ray Harryhausen."

My suggestions for future Star Ace/Harryhausen releases: the Cephalopod from MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, the Hydra from JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS and the Flying Saucer from EARTH VS. THE FLYING SAUCERS.

Thanks John for your perspective & insight as always! Still gives me goosebumps & Love what you do to preserve the history of stop motion! Harryhausen used the torso of man for this creature, & If I'm not mistaken? I believe that Ray used the Ymir's sound mannerism for Cyclops in Sinbad a year later

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, you are right about the influence of the Ymir on the Cyclops. Classic Harryhausen.

@@WalshBros Love your setting Music score & all, Just watched the Beast the other night! That incredible Boat attack scene still takes my breathe away! In '46 3yrs before Mighty Joe Young, Ray worked along side with the great George Pal & assisted with his Puppetoons & on ward & help create Mother Goose stories,

Mine arrives soon! I only ordered the creature, itself.... I found it expensive enough without the lamp post, base and the human figure. I'd be staring at the Ymir most of the time, anyway... and I can always create my own lamp post, if I ever need it.

Big fan of these Star Ace statues, really hoping the Figurehead, Pegasus, Troglodyte and Hydra get a time to shine in this collection (and what i wouldn't do for a Pinky Super Vinyl, sighs)
