    How do you generate those plots of access statistics and access storage costs vs size and cost? Is this native or make-able dashboard somehwere in AWS or is this home-brewed?

      Storage lens is paid feature on s3. You can enable s3 export on storage lens reports if you want to process and visualize the data on your own. The graphs are available only in storage lens dashboard in S3 console.
      Some of the metrics also support cloud watch export, so you can use cloudwatch to visualize and set monitors on the metrics as well
