How To Install AlloyGator - Prepping

Did you know you have to prep your AlloyGators before installing them? You also need to check your wheels to ensure they will fit AlloyGator!
All sets of AlloyGator will come with a bag of hardware that includes, glue, joiner tabs, stainless grippers and a fitment gauge. It is important to check your wheels for fitment before you install. They may not work.
Take the gauge (the red and green tab) and put the green end in between the wheel and tire. Bend down slightly and if the edge of the rim is in the green you're good but if it's in the red then do not install.

AlloyGators are held onto your wheel and tire using a 3 part locking.
1) - Diamond Grippers on the back of the AlloyGator which grip into the rubber of the tire.
2) - Air pressure in the tire
3) - Stainless grippers that grip onto the back side of the rim.
It's the stainless grippers that must be prepped. They do not come pre-installed and must be put in before you install your AlloyGators onto the wheel.
This is not a stick on product!
Start at the tail end of the AlloyGator (there is part that sticks out with a hole) and put a stainless gripper into the first slot, then continue putting stainless grippers in every slot until you reach your wheel size.
In between each slot the Alloygator is smooth but when you get to the 12" mark you will start to see grooves. Keep going until you see your wheel size which is listed under or beside the slot.
You do not have to glue in the stainless grippers however we do recommend it to keep them in place should you need to remove the AlloyGator later.
We recommend having the Gator prepped ahead of time. If you know you're installing on an 18" wheel then have them ready to go before the car gets there. Or if doing at home, do the night before while watching TV.
