I just want to go on record as saying that mob violence, no matter what the cause, is not a good or moral thing. I’m not making any statements about who you supported in the general election. But there is never a time when people should abandon the rule
of law and begin to act in a violent manner outside of the accepted processes for how we live and govern together.
There certainly is a place for peaceful protest, and even for non-violent resistance of the law for moral purposes. People who do so should be treated with respect by those whose duty it is to arrest them, and they should also be prepared to bear the legal ramifications of their actions. This is what famous non-violent advocates (like Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr.) have taught and practiced in the past. This all brings us to the actions of yesterday in Washington, D.C., which led to 4 deaths and at least

And through it all I couldn’t help but think of Philippians 4:6 - “Do not be anxious about anything.” Those are powerful words for a moment like we just experienced. We are not to worry, not to fret, not to walk around wringing our hands, anxious about the current situation or the future. We are people of hope, not despair. We are children of the Living God, not fearful wanderers subject to the whims of the world around us. We are in the hands of God. We have nothing to fear, even if some of our most sacred institutions were to cease to exist. We have an eternal perspective that goes beyond even our nation or our culture.
That does not mean that we should ignore what is happening in this world. We should care and have legitimate concern to see the rule of law upheld and our system of government continue in a manner which is fair and just for all people. However, we are called by God to always think and act with an attitude of hope which is based in our identity as people who are connected to the Father, through the work of the Son, and in the power of the Holy Spirit. When we keep in mind who we are, and Whose we are, then we are able to keep the perspective that we never have to be anxious about anything. Really. Anything. Anything at all. There is literally nothing we need to be anxious about. If we are anxious, then we have lost our hopeful perspective, and we need to settle down and remind ourselves that God is in control of this world.

Yes they are sending the 600$ regardless. If you recieved the first one thru direct deposit you will expect to see it in your account by friday next week.
