Great walk ! Yes, the " TH-cam Mentality " is very dissapointing, they make so much money from the many hard working content creators....and we the viewers must PAY not to get commercials thrown at us every few minutes.
When I was a young girl, there was a family by the name of Nunn living in the little town, two miles from the farm my family lived on. This was fascinating because of the surname and the history.
Still so beautiful and green. 💚 Here in Minnesota, US, it's brown and grey (gray), many shades of brown and grey. 🤎🖤 Thank you Irish Eyes. I hope Sue is feeling better. ❤🩹
Sorry I missed the live, GV!! I have a cold, and it's ABSOLUTELY freezing here!!🥶🥶🌨🌨 I believe bees do hibernate, so you would have been fine!! At least, they were in their hive beehaving themselves!!🤣🤣🐝🐝 Thanks for another BRILLIANT history lesson, GV!! XXXX ❤🤗💞👍👏
I’m stricken by the expansive beauty of this cemetery. You look out beyond the trees and it’s vast. Stunning. Hope the bees are buzzing being as how it’s winter! Incidentally, is it winter in Ireland? 🐝❤
@@GraveVisitations I love that cemeteries are so full of life. Bees, cats, fox, deer, etc. I wonder if that particular church makes/sells honey for the locals? Maybe they are wanting to help the plight of the poor bees, God bless them. Wonderful to see. Be careful walking amongst the bee colonies in late winter/early spring, they might mistake you for a luscious flower as they will be quite hungry! 🌹
Very nice walk about Cathal! That is a lot of history for one family. Wish we could have learned more from the time of Cromwell down through the centuries. My Mother's family (the Kingston's) also came down with Cromwell to that area of Ireland. But they intermingled with the people there and changed religions back and forth. My Mother's line (one man) Samuel Kingston sailed away to Canada in 1832 and missed the famine. NOTE: When you were in Bristol, England, I believe, you found a huge masoleum with the Kingston name. You used it for a while in your opening introductions of your videos. 🙂♥️
GV, thank you for announcing Shame Macgowan death. Your video came up before the news media I am subscribed to. Cee from the little haunted cottage in ireland 💚💚💚🍀🍀🍀
Very Interesting History with the Nunn Family, Enjoyed the beautiful Scenery here . Thanks GV, I'm sorry don't know your name , You and Yours be Blessed stay Safe .
I thought it strange that the stones were fairly recent( in comparison to the usual ones you visit) yet were more worn away. When you read 1974 I was quite surprised.
The family mansion must have been huge, and beautiful in its day. The family must have been very wealthy. The church ruins and graveyard are very interesting. Someone is taking care of the grounds, does the Nunn family still own the property, or does another family own it? Thank you very much GV and Sue, for another great video. Have a great week ahead. 😀
That Nunn who was in the Deccan Force: I'm a big cricket fan, and in the very lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL), there is a side called the Deccan Chargers. So, I am assuming that as there were lots of English in India in the 1800s, Nunn could have had something to do with a British Army Indian unit of that name. PS: Snow boots on now, GV!! 😊😊😊
@@GraveVisitations Stay safe and keep warm. Lots of hot teddies too, GV. I was going to suggest a hip flask for your little trips, then I remembered you'll probably be driving. So a nice flask of cocoa would be more appropriate!
@@angietunstall2555oh Angie! You made me laugh..like me I’m guessing your iPad spells for you at times as the mental picture of Cathal with several hot teddies tied round his waist was so funny! 🤣😂🤣….I’m sure you meant Hot Toddies not Teddies! Lol…but a cute idea! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙋♀️💐
The British ruled India for 200 years. So yes, lots of English here. Colonial graves have unfortunately been removed/forgotten from the cemeteries due to the painful history and lack of space.
My Mom's side were Colvin's and they apparently came in with Cromwell via Scotland but by the time my ancestor's left for Maryland they were Catholics and settled eventually in an area of Indiana largely settled by Irish from Wexford even though they were from Antrim.
Thanks
Thank you for the support 🙏
Thanks for another great video about the Nunn family. MAY THEY ALL REST IN PEACE and lovely countryside.
That is so very beautiful, I hope I can visit your beautiful country before I get too old to walk!! Great work!!!❤

Here in the States, you don't see too many private family cemeteries like this. I have only really have seen this in the southern US.

Wow Abigail thank you so much 🙏 that is amazing help towards our efforts doing videos appreciate your support ❤️
Most bees are dormant in the winter months, except for honey bees. So unless your poking around their hive, your probably safe.
Interesting area GV! Different. That land is beautiful!! Bees 🐝 😩.
When I saw bees I froze lol
@@GraveVisitations I would have too😂

I think it could be weather worn as they are near the sea
It seems to be so peaceful. I always love stone walls. Such a lovely video. Thanx GV.❤😂❤😂

Not sure, I think a farmer is renting it or owns it now
@GraveVisitations Thank you very much for the information GV, and for getting back to me. Take care.
As usual Cathal great video. Awesome research. Loved this

Cathal, great video. I wonder if Former U.S. Senator Sam Nunn was related to them?
Me ha gustado mucho este cementerio aunque es un poco diferente a los demás. CV mi enhorabuena un saludo amigo
Beautiful ❤️🙏
4:02 such a shame. Beautiful wrought iron fence, but then the poor chest tomb broken to bits.
Beautiful cemetery.

I think the bees will bee hibernating now, GV. Best bee talking quietly, though, just in case!! 😂😂❤
Thank god I was terrified 😰

Hi there GV just after joining you this is very interesting...Bees are Hibernating for the winter
Thanks for visiting John
Lieutenant John Joshua Nunn of the Irish Guards died during World War 2 in Djebel Bou Aoukaz in Tunisia , North Africa.
Interesting and beautiful area! I'm guessing those bees are probably sleeping?
I hope so ha
I can't wait 😊
Video up enjoy 👍
Hello again GV wishing you and your family well❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Hi Tina
GV I think the trees when you first came in they look like Grapevine, maybe that's why the bees are there.
I heard it through the grapevine
That's amazing I luv history and the STILL own the land I reckon I could be wrong
Looks like a farmer is working on the land but he could be renting
I love whating you show ots so great iam from Australia 🇦🇺 and my great partner were from Newport wales there names were Morgan
Thanks pat
It’s cold. The bees are probably dormant.
Just thought the land where no building to put the Nunn family into. Probably because if they followers of Cromwell - they had simple lives
GV you better bee-hive while your there :)
🐝😁
I guess you'll have to whisper because of the bees lol
Ya I was very silent lol
I've seen the relative in San Antonio ass well as in Galveston Texas
I just had to look it up
bees 🐝 divine messengers in folklore, navigating between the physical and spiritual realm buzzz lol
😂
Are there still Nuns in the area?
Don't think so
Picked apart by crustaceans and sand worms.
