I think the Problem with the separate Bathroom was that they can't use it in the suit. they couldn't change out of the suit, because er was no suiting station. And if they changed out, they would have had no oxygen to breath. So they went to the Bathroom room, and then get stuck there because they really wanted to go but didn't have the necessary stuff to actually do it, leaving them in perpetual agony until they finally died.
