This is the Sonny I miss I hate what the writers have done to him today I hope they put him back just like this cause this is the Sonny I like not this soft Mattered Sonny they got now forgiving a person from keeping him from his family for nine months when he had amnesia and almost defending Nina when I want Sonny to rip her face off
AJ brought this s*** on himself he's the one that hired an arsonist which gave Sunny the means to do what he did and as for AJ putting his hands on Carly in a violent manner that was wrong on so many levels putting your hands on any woman is wrong to begin with add to the fact that she's pregnant that was just wrong and what he did on the stairs when he grabbed a wrist and she tried to get away that was messed up. Anytime AJ is drinking someone always gets hurt first it was Alan then there was the public incident where he crashed into a building then there was Jason and his memory loss then there was Carly in the stairs and then there was Courtney which was a whole nother messed up story she winds up stripping to pay for his mistakes only to have him turn around and have her stalked so that he can play hero AJ is pathetic
Carly gets the upper hand on AJ here with "You didn't give me these rings, Jason did" and her evil smile was delicious. She finally has the upper hand on the little weasel and she pounds him into the ground, payback for every mean, mocking, domineering thing he had said/done to her while she was trapped at the Qs. ;) ETA: This writing is so fucking stupid. Sonny walks in and stops an assault-in-progress, AJ with his hands all over Carly, and yet AJ has the gall to call Carly and Sonny the "lowest life forms"? Gag me.
I don't think they would have wrote SK's AJ like this. BW played AJ like a slime ball where as SK was a lot more sympathetic even when he did something wrong.
@jasoncarly yes thank you for posting from the start how sweet AJ was to Carly even when they slept together. I totally forgot as to how AJ went nuts (mind u Sonny was the one who is Bipolar and had his reasons for his mood.) AJ was driven *island accent* "maawwd" by a pretty smile in a mini.
Rewatched this storyline many times now (I think this makes the fourth) and I'm sorry but I still can't say I feel much sorrow for AJ... and I have tried! Granted I'm a JACARSON fan thru n thru but I'll be the first to admit CARSON had major crashes as parents in the long-term. Many still blame CARSON for AJ not getting his due as a father but I think the Q's started that ball rolling by destroying him first. Carly was just gasoline on a smouldering fire!
And I am talking about if he had of stayed back then and never left in 97. I firmly believe they replaced SK with BW to make him More of a bad guy to make Jarly whom I did love and then later CarSon whom I hated look better. SK as AJ made you feel for him and seemed more human despite the Qs. BW just played AJ too onesided. How could ANYONE feel for him? Lol
I was never that big of a Jarly fan, Carly has her moments but the utter devestation she put on Jason's face about the Sonny ons and Michael and her plans....no, I never was a fan. That being said. Everybody forgets that AJ was a trainwreck before Carly was even in the picture with the q's or Jason, now that may have been largely in part because of the q's but, I don't blame Carly so much for him and the Michael mess. She was a calamity in living form, but they all start with threatening to take the kid and ruin her from the jump. When clearly, none of them were making the best choices in their daily lives anyway.
Dragon_Feenix I would hve to agree with you….Edward is the first person who should hold his head in shame for how AJ turned out!!!!……it’s a fact that most people refuse to accept responsibility for their actions and the Q’s are the biggest hypocrites……..so it is much easier to blame Sonny…….but the fact of the matter is…….except for the violence…….Sonny is a better father!!!….that’s just my take.

But every one of them have committed some crime which they have gotten away with because of their wealth and influence. Edward even brags about it. So the hypocrisy works both ways.

He shows up for the diamonds on her finger that really is pathetic and that whole line about them representing a commitment please that was the biggest load of b******* and his insecurity about Jason was even more pathetic Jason wasn't competing with AJ he was just being Jason and without even trying with the exception of gathering evidence about the arson Jason won against AJ at every turn without trying just by being who he is
As I said in another post, I do think a lot of their fans are probably spoiled brats and/or don't care about right and wrong. Me? I have a really strong sense of right and wrong, which is why I had to stop watching this for awhile. Couldn't tolerate the sick characters anymore and how they abused characters that USED to be good, like AJ and Tony.

This is a show....for entertainment. Obviously its going to have crazy storylines and people doing crazy immoral things, it is a soap after all :)
AJ was a criminal before Jason was or did everybody forget that AJ is the one that got drunk got behind the wheel of a vehicle crash the vehicle and cause Jason major brain injury
And did everyone forget Carly drugged AJ poured liquor over him and dropped him off in an alley to make him think he started drinking just to hide the fact that he was the father of her unborn baby. I'm no AJ fan but it seems a lot of you would do this to a man just to hold over to another man that does not love you, that's what you no self love, self worth, or morals
@helenamonster, I never really thought of it that way but now that I'm re-watching that scene, it's possible they were considering going there, but I'm glad they didn't. But it's also foreshadowing the fateful confrontation on the stairs.

AJ Quartermaine just like his father had their messes but as a true Quartermaine it is too bad the writing didn't show him as a surviver and a father figure to Michael but not taking away from what Jason was to Michael at the beginning of his life when he stepped in when AJ couldn't.

Wow an exact re run of Tony carly & Jason. Guza is such a hack. Carly was calling tony a loser too. Same gig carly gets knocked up by the guy that isnt her husband or fiancee & back at the same penthouse only sub sonny for Jason. I cant believe after how Carson betrayed Jason he helped them. Even if it was for mikey , if these 2 broke Jason's heart & he knows both are selfish impulsive unstable people why would Jason want the " son" he lives with them. Guza really sux. It makes zero sense after carsons betrayal to think mikey was better off with 2 nutcases which Jason knows & stabbed him in the back. Bad writing that led to Michael getting so damaged by Carson he has been living with the qs for 10 years & works at elq. So in the end jason made his life worse only for him to willingly go live with the qs as an adult.
I'm sorry but Jason was just as bad as Sonny in this case the fact that he was the boy's bio uncle and worked so hard to keep the Q's away is a tough pill to swallow.

Well said and I agree. But I was always a fan of AJ but SK as AJ not BW. I think it would have been different had SK stayed.

IMHO it's because Billy Warlock couldn't play AJ as likeable. Sean Kanan played AJ the same but likeable at least to me.
