2024 TF - CIF State Meet - Girls 4x800 Relay Championship - Ventura

This is the Girls 4x800M Relay Championship race from the 2024 CIF State Track & Field Meet, held May 25 at Buchanan High School (Clovis, CA). Sadie Engelhardt produced an amazing final leg for her Ventura High team, overcoming a botched handoff and an 8 second gap to win going away in the final 200M. Even with the dropped baton, Ventura ran the 6th fastest time in the US. Second place Santiago of Corona ran the 10th fastest time in the US for 2024. These were 10 big points for Ventura, which ended up in second place by 6 points for the overall girls team title.

Absolutely epic race. So proud of our Santiago ladies, and the awesome Ventura ladies. Can’t wait to watch these 2 teams battle in XC and next year in this rematch!!!

Do we dare respond to this? Sure, why not? As we have mentioned several times, we do not have the rights to the State meet. You want us to give you State, write your congressman! Or at least your CIF contacts. We can do it live like we do most of our other meets. Multiple cameras and good quality. All for free. But CIF has to let us.
