Prawning at Lake Tyers

With the prawning season coming to an end for this year, I thought I'd best jump in the car, head up to Gippsland and go gathering. Only spent a few house but caught more then enough for me for a feed. Good times and lots of fun for the whole family.

Hi There. We're heading to Lakes Entrance next week. Other than Lake Tyers, where in Lakes entrance do you recommend, or is it only by boat (My little tinnie doesn't have night lights). Also, where in Lake Tyers do you recommend? I've heard one spot is off the beach by the boat ramp?
Lastly, I don't have a prawning light. And not sure if or when I'd do this again to buy the light. Could I use a simple head torch and get away with it? Thanks
