Mandarin is indeed the greatest villain that Shell-Had has. He not only creates a brilliant dynamic between them both, by representing a man with an anti-corporative views that goes against a man who represents corporative policy, but he's also the main reason why Tony became Iron Man in a first place. It's happened in John Byrne's Iron Man run. Like Batman created the Joker, Mandarin created Iron Man.

Correction #1: Several characters have become Whiplash, not two. Correction #2: It's *Anton* Vanko, not Ivan Vanko. Ivan Vanko was the son of Anton Vanko that ONLY exists in the MCU. Anton Vanko, in the original comics, was a soviet villain called Crimson Dynamo. In the current comics, Anton Vanko is Whiplash.
I honestly think the Melter is/was possibly one of the greatest threats to Iron Man of all time. A man with a metal suit against a man who can near-instantaneously melt any metal.
Iron Man's biggest villain is himself. The whole Iron Man suit idea inspired some of his villains, he has a serious alcohol (as said in every comment below), & he's exposed, so if anyone really wants to kill Iron Man, then they can just break into that giant tower building with his name on it & kill Tony Stark.
You guys did see "All Hail The King", right? Remember when One-Shots were a thing? Yeah, it confirms the real mandarin. And he wants(or wanted, we don't know if he did or not) to see Trevor the actor.
+Matheus Navarro If you watched some of the Marvel one-shots, notably the 'All Hail the king', The Mandarin from Iron Man 3 was only a fake. One set up to distract him. The actual Mandarin is still very much around, and none to happy some upstart actor used his name.
+Hawkeye The Original really dude that excuse really!!!! its not even a good excuse it's just lazy. The Mandarin was only racist in the Silver Age. I found the twist far more racist.
Batman, Captain America, Daredevil, Flash, Spider-Man, Superman & X-Men have good villains. Something Ironman doesn't have. Hell Ultron is a Hank Pym/Avengers villain and M.O.D.O.K is Caps.
Yeah, and also what Iron Man doesn't have, is that he was never depicted in the comics as the man who sleeps in the same bed with little boys, you know. And yeah, Iron Man has great villains, just like those you mentioned have pretty awful villains.
Bringing up old shit. Truth of the matter is Ironman doesn't have a single villain that's worth mentioning alongside Joker, Magneto, Lex, Brainiac, Green Goblin & Kingpin. The list goes on and on, his rogue list is terrible.
You Dont E.N.O That old shit was the foundation for the character, which you, I presume, adore so much, buddy, you know. And most of the Batman's and Superman's iconic villains were created in golden in silver age, which is that old shit which you're trying to dismiss. "Joker, Magneto, Lex, Brainiac, Green Goblin & Kingpin." - you mentioned to me only most banal and predictable list of the famous comic book villains. And I'm pretty sure you're judging the characters quality based on their popularity and recognition, which is a trivial way to judge any character. The reasons why those villains you mentioned are as big as they are, is because of how much they were portrayed in the media outside comic books. Iron Man's villains haven't been even once portrayed right in any other form of medium beyond comics, and that includes movies especially. Obadiah Stane was a great villain in comics - his movie iteration was superbly weak and trivial. Justin Hammer was a great villain in comics - he was awfully bastardized in movies. Mandarin - is the greatest villain that Shellhead has... In movies... Should I say more? And, Brainiac? Lul. Get your facts straight. When Brainiac was fighting "super friends", someone like Obadiah Stane was breaking Tony Stark's life apart in a most disgusting way possible in
+SepticHead weak , I could care less about movie portrayal these are comic book characters so I mean comic books. You say these characters are predictable, it doesn't matter because they can hold up good storylines. Not to mention Justin Hammer is just evil Tony Stark - Joker you're not about to tell me Justin Hammer has a storyline that is on the level of Endgame let alone Killing Joke. - Magneto is arguably the best super-villain, do I even need to hit you with storyline. - Lex has Forever Evil and was the big villain of the best team superhero story Kingdom Come. I could go on but humour me with some of Ironman villains best storylines.

Thought there might've been a glimmer of hope for her after "The Nefaria Protocols". *JUSTIN HAMMER: the more formidable comix version might've be played by Peter Cushing as ruthlessly cultured polite and immorally efficient. *The GHOST, even if his powers are techno-based not supernatural, is one creepy guy. *The TITANIUM MAN: Theoretically, Iron Man on steroids. *The MANDARIN: The real one (duh). To be sure MANY original aspects/depictions of the character ARE outdated/archaic; and Marvel has made several "tweaks" trying to distance him from offensive elements of the character's past. Like the fact that he's now regarded as much an enemy of Japan as America. While it's debatable how much "tweaking", if any, will be enough to make the " evil mandarin" concept universally palatable; his rings, skills, intellect, and other resources make him one of IM's most formidable and versatile foes; whatever motif he uses. *OBADIAH STANE: A corporate adversary in the comix, he not only manipulated Tony's 2nd, major alcoholic breakdown, allowing for his hostile takeover of Stark Industries; as the IRON MONGER he battled him armor to armor. *Honorable Mentions: TECHNOVORE:Might've been higher if he'd ever returned. The CONTROLLER. DEADLY FORCE. COUNT NEFARIA started as an IM villain, but since gaining super powers has really been an Avengers foe. ALCOHOLISM despite being (seemingly seriously) anthropomorphized by some, is a weakness. That's like calling sunlight Dracula's "enemy", or kryptonite Superman's.

That's the movie, ultron was actually created by pym, so he's hatred will more towards him. But if you look in the comics, ultron hate and fight all the avengers
Funny, you'd think WatchMojo would of went with a bit more detail with characters. They put Crimson Dynamo on the "Honorable Mentions", yet they use Ivan Vanko, the Whiplash of the Iron Man 2 movie, on the list. Although, any comic book nerd (or someone who watches a "Watchmojo: Comichero/villian story" video) could tell you that Ivan Vanko was one of the Crimson Dynamos in the comics. And that they should of used Mark Scarlotti for their Whiplash, but he went by the name Backlash in the comics.
Iron man 3 was a Good movie, just because the movie featured a fake mandarin doesn't mean it was bad. And there is a real mandarin somewhere in the MCU (marvel cinematic universe) it was confirmed.
technovore is always overlooked, i'm not some dude trying to shed some love on the character but he would be a great villain to see in a reboot. if your interested go check him out, you'll see why i recommend it.
I agree with Mandarin being #1. It's a shame what they did with him in the movie and I would love to see them some how make a movie with him the way he's suppose to be rather than a hack actor. Also I think Crimson Dynamo should have been on the list rather than just an honorable mention.
I think that Loki should have been a runner-up, considering that A: He's a god B: He can make illusions C: He is ruthless D: Can posses people with his staff
+James Button Iron Man 3 didn't have the Mandarin. Instead, Guy Pearce, who actually was a good villain in my opinion, played another Iron Man villain: Firebrand. Just give him the Veronica virus from Resident Evil, make a Batman Begins twist, and take the armor from the aforementioned villain.
Now a lot of people do say that Iron Man has some bad villains (not including alcahol or the director of Iron Man 3) but when you see most of the villains in the Iron Man Armoured Adventures TV Show they're not so bad (kinda prefer them over the comics and I personally preferred the Mandarin and Ghost from the show over the comics I mean like if this list was based on the show then some of these characters would either be higher or lower on this list, but seriously who didn't like the Ghost from Iron Man Armoured Adventures, he was one of the best villains out of the show ,and most memorable one, and I do prefer the Mandarin's look in the show over the comics and previous adaptations) and while people do hate the show it was one of my favourite shows I ever watched
My top 10 Iron Man villains: 10. Fin Fang Foom 9. David Cannon/Whirlwind 8. Ivan Vanko/Whiplash 7. Justin Hammer 6. Living Laser 5. Count Nefaria 4. M.O.D.O.K. 3. Ava Starr/Ghost 2. Obadiah Stane/Iron Monger #1. Khan/The Mandarin
Ironman is one of the few characters where his greatest villains list is very different to what his greatest enemies list would be. It would probably have to include himself, possibly Carol Danvers and undoubtedly Steve Rogers (despite the fact he would also rank high on his best friends list).
you should have used the animated version of Blacklash (marco corlacci), Justin Hammer. because the live versions SUCK. But at least you knew the animated MANDARIN was better. thanks for that.

outside of batman and spider no hero has a tone of good villains but the manderan and Fan fang are pretty dam terrifying the manderan considered one of the big villains in all of marvel
The only good Iron Man villains in this list are: The Mandarin, Crimson Dynamo, Whiplash, Modok, Titanium Man and Fin Fang Foom. The rest are shit, and Ultron shouldn't even be in this list.
Its simple with Fing fang Foom , make him into a ancient technological dragon from another world. If ironman gets a reboot, Fing fang Foom should be a doomsday sort of weapon / monster
My favorite Iron man villain is alcoholism.

I honestly thought alcoholism was going to be somewhere on the list.
lol 😂
that would have been realistic
And ego
Well, considering that Obidiah Stane used alcoholism to run Tony out of business, I guess that would count
+Kyle Krazer haha yea good for thinking out side the box.

John Paige Crimson Dynamo
Or alcoholism
Ultron is also the main nemesis to Hank Pym in the comics as well as the Avengers so yeah, they really got that from the one movie

yeah should be Ultimo
An avengers villain means its a villain to all the members of avengers

Although, any comic book nerd (or someone who watches a "Watchmojo: Comichero/villian story" video) could tell you that Ivan Vanko was one of the Crimson Dynamos in the comics. And that they should of used Mark Scarlotti for their Whiplash, but he went by the name Backlash in the comics.
Is there anyone who loves Robert Downey Jr instead of ironman 😕😕??
can't agree enough!!
MCU Iron Man > Actual comic Iron Man
I love Comic Iron Man but Robert did it better
Yes love more RDJ
But also love Iron man than any superhero
Cause you need to read comics for that
???
Notice how there isn't an Iron Man 3 clip in the entire video. Wonder why
Radar O'Reilly the Mandarin in it was a sin
I always thought alcoholism was tonys worst enemy
My favorite is the ghost on the honorable mentions
Loved how Mojo (rightfully) abstained from citing Iron Man 3 footage for #1.
WatchMojo you forgot one of the most defining enemies of Iron Man, the Alcoholism.
Number one just reminds me how bad iron man 3 was
Why the hell doesn't the movie version have powers?
+CubanMissile54 Wasn't he able to heat things up by touching them?
CubanMissile54 Iron man 3 was a bad combination of extremesis and The mandarin
Iron man 3 was a Good movie, just because the movie featured a fake mandarin doesn't mean it was bad. And there is a real mandarin somewhere in the MCU (marvel cinematic universe) it was confirmed.
+Rick Barnes That was his employer.
Underrated villains.
technovore is always overlooked, i'm not some dude trying to shed some love on the character but he would be a great villain to see in a reboot.
if your interested go check him out, you'll see why i recommend it.
One of the greatest Iron Man villains "The Mandarin" & in the MCU they turned that great villain in to a joke.
Bravo Marvel, bravo.
I have to admit, did not know the villain in Iron Man 2 was named Whiplash in the Marvel Universe.
+Neopulse00 Especially when the IM 2 villain was basically Crimson Dynamo...with some whips tacked on and a lack of a rouge paint-job.

2.mandiran
1.crinsmon dynamo
I agree with Mandarin being #1. It's a shame what they did with him in the movie and I would love to see them some how make a movie with him the way he's suppose to be rather than a hack actor. Also I think Crimson Dynamo should have been on the list rather than just an honorable mention.
After watching Shang Chi, I still prefer the first Mandarin in IronMan3. Not a popular opinion, I know.
Villains like Ultron and Iron monger really put Tony stark to the ropes but eventually he found way to defeat these armored bad guys🤖🤖.
Notable iron man villains:
1: iron monger
2: whiplash
3: crimson dynamo
4: titanium man
5: mallen
My favorite Iron Man villains are The Ghost, Iron Monger and Madame Masque. I felt the Mandarin more like an Avengers villain.
I think that Loki should have been a runner-up, considering that
A: He's a god
B: He can make illusions
C: He is ruthless
D: Can posses people with his staff
Started so poorly, just listing Avengers villains and then saved the actual Iron Man villains for honorable mentions
You can blame the movies for that
LIVE ACTION IRON MAN VILLAINS :
1. The Mandarin/Tony Leung
2. Iron Monger/Jeff Bridges
3. Whiplash/Mickey Rourke
4. Aldrich Killian/Guy Pearce
5. Dr. Doom/Julian McMahon
6. Ultron/James Spader
7. Justin Hammer/Sam Rockwell
8. Ghost/Hannah John-Kamen
What about Mallen, Dr. Doom, Dreadnaut, Grey Gargoyle, Ultimo, Technovore, the sentient armor, Spymaster, Black Widow, DeWitt?
Doctor Doom that's fantastic four villian.
People should get over the mandarin twist in ironman 3 that was actually a good movie.
You mean Tony Stark 1?
Crimson Dynamo should be in the list and someone else should have been an honorable mention.
My favorites are:-
1. Fing fan foom
2. Modok
3. Mandarin
4. Count nefaria
5. Ultron
6. Ghost
7. Titanium man
8. Whiplash
9. Justin hummer
10. Madame masque
11. Iron monger/ Obadiah stane
12. The controller
13. Crimson Dynamo
14. Living laser
Nice list dude
Mandarin's Ten Rings vs Thanos's Infinity Gauntlet
They should make an Iron Man film with the Mandarin! lol
+Brad Wright Iron Man 3 had the mandarin. Sought of. Ok maybe not.
+Brad Wright How about . . . They should make a GOOD Iron Man film with a Mandarin that DOESN'T suck.
Max Dresser I know, I was saying that the "Mandarin" that's in IM3 isn't really the Mandarin, just an actor.
+Kevin Reynart There's no IronMan4
I'm glad you didn't show any Iron Man 3 clips for Mandarin because
1. That was a sin to call that the Mandarin
2. That whole movie was a sin
My top 10 Iron Man villains:
10. Fin Fang Foom
9. David Cannon/Whirlwind
8. Ivan Vanko/Whiplash
7. Justin Hammer
6. Living Laser
5. Count Nefaria
4. M.O.D.O.K.
3. Ava Starr/Ghost
2. Obadiah Stane/Iron Monger
#1. Khan/The Mandarin
I have to say if it weren’t for Robert Downey Jr., the hero wouldn’t be as popular as he is today.
@@ForJustice-bl6rs Unfortunately, you're not wrong.
But at least you knew the animated MANDARIN was better. thanks for that.
top 10 DAREDEVIL villains
1.Mandarin
2.Iron Monger
3.Madame Masque
4.Justin Hammer
5.Zeke Stane
6.Whiplash
7.Fin Fang Foom
8.Crimson Dynamo
9.Titanium Man
10.Whiplash
The first Whiplash Mark Scorloti had energy whips and could fly using hover disks.
Don't completely agree, but it is a compelling list
Man I wish iron Man 2 and 3 were never made Robert Downey Jr definitely deserved better and man mcu should of had more iron Man villains.
The thumbnail reminds me on how badass the first Iron Man was.
Yeah and people say that only DC has the good villains Spider-Man Iron Man and Captain America along with the X-Men all have solid rogues galleries
Crimson Dynamo is my #1.
in the comics, Justin Hammer was supposedly designed after Peter Cushing, you know, Tarkin from star wars
Do Top 10 Real World Villains

8.Dennis Dugan

Dc is poop that got eaten buy superman and the superman died
+Noel Alexiusson WHERE IS KIM KARDASHIAN AND HER FAMILY
number one should be Justin bieber
"Hello... my name is Trevor. & I am an actor." That's ironman's number 1 villan?
Well, in movies - yes. In comics - no.
nah he is nothing like that in the comics
One of the oneshot shorts shows the real manderians still out there and pissed someone used his name
Marvel lover the mandarin of the comics
Jordan Gate You have no idea what the Mandarin is.....
Iron Man has the shittiest villains,
And this is coming from someone who likes Blizzard and Whirlwind unironically
No he dosen't
He actually has really good villain they just aren't well known like batman's villains or spidermans
@@twizzlerlemonpie3083 Like the real mandarin is a hell of a villain
I disagree. Mandarin, MODOK, Iron Monger, Titanium Man, Scarecrow, Living Laser are all good villains.
Top 5 Iron Man Villains
#5 Crimson Dynamo
#4 Blizzard
#3 The Iron Monger
#2 Whiplash
#1 The Mandarin
Imagine The Best Possibilities for Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man To Finally Get To Battle These Dangerous and Deadly Iron Man Villains in The Marvel Cinematic Universe from Marvel Studios
forgot Zeke Stane
They really fucked up Mandarin in Iron man 3.. I walked out of the theater when I found out I was trolled by Trevor.
MODOK is captain america villain, Ultron is Avengers
Modok is both and is actually mostly seen up against iron man because aim tends to come in conflict with start industries
My favourite Ironman villain is Valentin Shatalov's Crimson Dynamo
outside of batman and spider no hero has a tone of good villains but the manderan and Fan fang are pretty dam terrifying the manderan considered one of the big villains in all of marvel
The only good Iron Man villains in this list are: The Mandarin, Crimson Dynamo, Whiplash, Modok, Titanium Man and Fin Fang Foom. The rest are shit, and Ultron shouldn't even be in this list.
I agree that they aren’t as cool, but maybe some writers could reinvent them.
Dr Doom would make a great villain.
8:04 lol tony stark was able to build this in a cave.....with a box if scraps
if ironman could fight someone in the incursio armor that would be kinda awesome
Its simple with Fing fang Foom , make him into a ancient technological dragon from another world.
If ironman gets a reboot, Fing fang Foom should be a doomsday sort of weapon / monster
there should be a dishonorable mention of Osama bin Kingsley.
