I like what you said about sensitive skin term being different for many folks. I started a while ago to get more descriptive and state that my face is “infection prone” vs. just “sensitive”. I recently went to an aesthetician for the first time because I get really bad cystic hormonal acne that flares up when I’m stressed. I changed out most of my skincare products by their recommendations - I’ve learned a ton about ingredients from your videos - and one of the things they recommended was the EltaMD SPF and I’m loving it! It’s super light, a little product goes a long way, and it doesn’t give my skin any weird reactions. LOVE to see your support for this because I’ve learned to trust your word on different products and knowledge on skincare in general.
When I tried it, I was shocked at how strong the fragrance was. It smells like I sprayed perfume on my face and smelled it for the whole day. Glad to hear they have a fragrance-free version!
@@Jenkittypaw i've been using embryolisse since 2017 and i don't get the fragrance?? i'm pretty sure i don't use the fragrance-free version either. the only time i encountered some fragrance was when i used the one with orange extract.
As someone who has super dry sensitive and acne prone skin, the embryolisse cream was a win for me! It’s not supper affordable and hydrating and doesn’t make my foundation look cakey!
As someone who has neurodermitis EVERYWHERE, Vitamin Cs, Retinoils- acids in general are just not an option for me. I use the most basic and gentle cleanser, plain (European (cause apparently there is a difference)) Nivea and in the morning the Nivea Sun Screen 50+ for sensitive skin. That's it. It took over a year, but it really helped my skin (acne-wise). All the dermatologist-prescribed creams just didn't work, so as a Hamburger Deern, Nivea was my rescue. NOT sponsored by Nivea😅
I was very much against eye creams after your videos, and many years of using them with dark under eye circles, I never saw any difference. For the last couple of years, I was mainly using my regular moisturizer around my eyes as well. But I have seborrheic dermatitis, and for the last two years I started getting it around my eyes. Nothing works, and I'm reluctant to put things I use on my scalp to my eyelids. My regular moisturizer was too heavy for the dermatitis because it ended up sitting on top of that dry skin and making my eyes heavy, sometimes building up there and causing friction... stuff like that. Now I bought an eye cream and it works amazing. Gets rid of my dermatitis without making me uncomfortable. So, like you said, skincare is very subjective and eye cream can be very useful in some occasions.
Hey Cassandra, I know this isn't related to the video, but I'm curious to know your journey to becoming an Estheticaian. I think all with that “drink water for clear skink” is actualy “stop drink sugary drinks like Coca-Cola or Pepsi, and drink water insted”. Sugars in those drinks can be cause of some breakouts.
A sunscreen that doesn't give me white cast that is a full mineral and doesn't burn the eyes when you workout that I use is from Maelove. Literally feels like health being washed over the soul lol. I love it, I wish they made it in full body size. I look forward to using it every morning in excess. It's a beautiful formula and I've tried to find others that match and nothing so far.
I have combo sensitive skin, meaning I break out from most products that contain fragrance or alcohol. But I've been using the Embryolisse moisturizing cream for two years now and it's honestly the only cream that works wonders for me. It moisturizes and hydrates my skin whilst not making it oily. It keeps the moisture in all day long and is perfect as a primer. The fragrance is not overwhelming at all, it's barely there tbh, so I've never had any problems with that. It's an extremely good, calming cream for the price and the simple ingredients, so I would definitely recommend trying it, even if you have sensitive/combination skin.
I kind of hate the comparison between Vaseline and any product that has similar main ingredients like the Embryolisse cream. It's not the same at all to just slap whichever product on your face and expect to get the same results just because you can draw comparisons between a couple shared ingredients.
I fricking love how in depth your videos are. I just want to give you a hug. Whenever I’m having a bad day and I watch your videos, you always put a smile on my face and make me laugh. Thank you so much for being you ❤️🥰🥰🦋🦋
The products from The Ordinary may be in small quantities, but if you're only using a couple of drops a day it lasts for quite a long time...even more bang for your buck. I'm currently using their Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% on just my forehead, once a day not twice. It's been pretty good so far and really helped me with a stubborn breakout that lasted a few months.
Hi Cassandra! I believe that the eye cream is the Black Rose Eye Contour Fluid by Sisley (expensive as hell). And yes, you should definitely watch Euphoria.
The Embryolisse Lait Creme is just a thicker version of the Charlotte Tilbury Magic cream. This is an absolute dream for your skin and feel super luxurious like Sisley OMG. I've been using it for years as a final step in my nighttime routine and also as a primer before makeup on clients. Embryolisse also has a Lait Creme Fluide which is a more liquid version of the regular lait creme.
I think she's not aware of the Korean skin care world but it would suit her well. Especially all the fragrance free products for sensitive skin (e.g. centella or cica as ingredients) and barrier repair might be brilliant for her.
When I had mild acne at 14 my dermatologist suggested me the Avéne Cleanance soap. It was my go to. I personally love and use the Avéne eau thérmale facial spray. It’s a multi-use spray and ideal for the warmer months.A Greek company Bepanthol also has a line of B5 , related to sensitive skin it’s amazing and really affordable. It works magic.
I love you Cassandra but Avene is really good for sensitive skins. It sure is overpriced in the US. But in France it’s pretty decent and sure is very calming. Derms loves them in my country. Bless xx
In Greece too and Avenue thermal water is not just a water in a can….sometimes I just don’t understand Cassandra. She has to educate more herself on some products…
I loved the Embryolisse cream and used it for years but stopped when I started using vegan products. It is really great though, i have combination skin and it kept my make up on all day. Would love to find a vegan version if you know of one.
Euphoria is on HBO and it is definitely worth it! It is very realistic and relatable. The fashion, make up, hair, the way it’s filmed is all amazing! Highly recommended!
One thing I like about Cassandra to read the ingredients because some people need to understand about why ingredients is so important, you need to know do not put products before you put on your face. This why I like Cassandra to get the right products for skin care videos.
Euphoria is a phenomenal show! The story is so real, raw and emotional. The acting is off the charts. The filming is the epitome of perfection. The music is superb! You. Are. Missing. Out. Please. Watch. It.
Euphoria is really an eye opener for the reality of this generation. If you would like to know what kids are going through these days definitely watch it.
My vote is for true crime. JCS is an awesome channel. I binge watch their videos 😄👍🏻 I have the avene cleanser at home. It is good for my oily parts. But it is too sensitising on my rosazea prone cheeks.
if you like the french brands and the thermal water stuff, i’d recommend the la roche posay effaclar h cream cleanser. it’s amazing for my oily acne prone skin. doesn’t cause dryness or irritation and cleans well
WOW. I never knew I have slight dermatographia?! My skin, especially around my neck and bust always turns red, warm, swollen and slightly itchy when I get the slightest scratch there. That's so weird, I never knew there was a term for it.
Ahh, and the eyecream she used is the Sisley Fluide Contour des Yeux with Black Rose extract, beautiful eye cream in my opinion! I find it really brightens up the under eye area and concealer sits beautifully on top of it.
When I don’t use a VERY viscous toner, my skin REALLY lacks moisture… even with great moisturizers (and especially now that I’m limited to more water-based products, yay Folliculitis). ❤️💛💙
look into Avène Hydrance serum. I add about 6 drops of the ordinary amino acids B5 into the bottle, and gives my skin everything it needs + I use Uriage Bariésun 50 spf as moisturizer on top.

Man I wish Cassandra could make a reaction video/build a routine for me!! As a young person with not much money it’s hard to find products right for me. It would be so helpful 🥲
I LOVE Embryolisse. I use the body moisturizer daily, and the face concentrate every Sunday without actives for a break. The fragrance is quite light. I have a thing for French Pharmacy favorites. 😁 I use a few brands and they work great for me.
I have weird combination and sensitive skin and I kinda do like Sydnee. Gel cleanser is amazing for the oily bits of my skin and the exfoliant is great for my dry patches. Weirdly the dry patches (my cheeks immediately close to my nose and my forehead between my eyebrows & a little bit above). Strangely enough sunscreen makes said dry patches tingle and burns and is always red. I have now found a sunscreen that's actually calms said patches
If the dry patches are between your eyebrows and near your nose and you have oily skin it might be seborrheic dermatitis and not actually dry skin. It makes your skin flaky where it's the most oily. Just an idea, I'm not a doc or anything like that, but I have that same issue.
Yo the toothpaste thing reminded me of something I used to do. Before I realized how sensitive my skin was, I’d legit put toothpaste under my eyes to keep me awake. Yes, directly under the eyes. It stung like hell so I was like “huh maybe this will keep me awake since it invokes such a strong reaction that it hurts to blink” I’d even keep a travel sized tube of toothpaste in my backpack so I could reapply it at school. The thing is, I knew full well that this was probably a bad idea. I was just impulsive and didn’t care.
"This is not a video about nutrition" OK but I would really like you to do one sometime about the effect of sugar or other ingredients on skin. I know this might become complex but besides hormones and allergies specific stuff, I think it would be really interesting to get your take on it!
I was told HA ultimately dries out the skin... that it draws moisture OUT from the skin vs. bringing moisture IN to the skin. So for a quick, "plumping skin" before an event, great to use it. But daily wear it ultimately doesn't hydrate your skin??.... help??
I use several cleansers and I alternate between Holika Holika rice cleanser, Holika Holika Pig Clear Deep Cleansing Foam, a really mild cleanser with panthenol, niacinamide and allantoin called Neutral, Biotherm Biosource pink cleanser for dry/normal skin (because of the salicylic acid but I will get another, cruelty free, cleanser when the one I have runs out). I’m a huuuge fan of resveratrol and I use up about five bottles of The Ordinary’s Resveratrol and Ferulic Acid every year! Other things, ingredients, that I really believe in are: mushrooms, berries and seaweed. I’ve also seen really good results from using those ingredients as well as products with rice/saké and galactomyces. I have an eye cream, from Benton, with galactomyces. But it’s a very affordable eye cream, like 25-35 $/£ for 30 ml so I’m using it on my whole face! In fact I got two eye creams from Benton: I got the Snail&Bee eye cream too. There are good eye creams! And if you’re prone to milia, like I am, an eye cream can be a lifesaver!!
I'm German and the Ordinary is a brand, I don't consider worth the price (at least in Germany). For a couple of years now, I'm looking more into the ingredients than anything else. I love that you have this turning and learning advice. I think that a lot of people should do this more, than looking up to influencers and the products they advertise. Good products that we get here in Germany are by nocosmetics (very affordable), Colibriskincare and transparent lab. I'm pretty curious what you would say about these to be honest.
Teenage Cassandra could still flick that wing and blend some colors together! I couldn't do that at 16.. still can't do a wing! So you still looked beautiful even with acne, Cass!!!! 💗🦋😘
Been dealing with acne for a couple years now and watching you has really helped me out. I have acne prone, combination and sensitive skin. Thanks to some recommendations I have truly seen a change in my skin thankyou so much! Just started tretinoin so fearful of the purging stage is there anything I can do to help?
She uses soap on her brows and I was curious about your opinion, since I've read that not rinsing soap off and leaving it on skin can cause flaking and dermatitis
Agreed with Audrey down below...there are actually some amazing eye creams even tho I’d rather just use an expensive moisturizer all over the face, but Sisley products, even the most expensive ones, aren’t all that great and I’m sure this is at least 250$ for that tiny mascara-size tube. The only Sisley product that’s pretty good is in that same line, the black rose cream mask.
Could you offer reasoning for recommending petroleum jelly? I've always been under the impression that it's not at all clean (mineral oil and wax) and could cause more congestion to the pores. I've also heard that it does not provide moisture but creates a negative barrier that blocks moisture from absorbing in the skin. Thank you.

I used that embryolisse for my sensitive combo skin and the only bad thing was the fragrance, everything else felt amazing!
They have a fragrance free version now if you’re interested. Same formula just no fragrance free
@whatsapp①④①③②②⑧⑨⑨⑤⑥ F off
@@jordandavis6709 I’ve seen! I’m curious to try but I switched to LRP and Avene and they’re great and now I’m scared to mess it up 😂
When I tried it, I was shocked at how strong the fragrance was.
NOT sponsored by Nivea😅
nivea sunscreens are awesome!
As I am planning to attend esthetics school in the future I would love to here about your experience. I enjoy your celeb skincare reacts! I admire your knowledge, dedication, your love to promote healthy skin and people.
I agree! I am interested in a career change to esthetics and would love to learn more about picking a reputable program, licensing, etc.
It would only take few hours of training. And this woman has the audacity to review a dermatologist’s skin care routine 🥴🤢🤮
@@topdrawerleftside I believe there is quite a bit of difference in between estetitian and medical estetitian. As far as I know, it's like saying masseur is the same as physiotherapist. Apart from PT being medical professional who studied 3-5-7 years in university and masseur have few hours training.
@@topdrawerleftside for entertaining purposes? I’m sure she knows her place. Also, this is TH-cam lol
I love all your tips so much Cassandra!! And I love your personality, you always make me smile when I watch your videos 😊❤️❤️❤️
LOVE THE NEW EDITING ON THE INGREDIENT LIST!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I adore The Ordinary, they allowed me to afford to be able to see what works for me and now i have clear skin and it doesnt break the bank
Thank you so much for being you ❤️🥰🥰🦋🦋
You NEED to watch Euphoria!!
The US prices of The Ordinary make me want to cry. That same serum is between $18 and $26 where I live. 😭
Same 😭 it is barely affordable
@@blu3367 Yup which is why I buy other brands with the same actives at The Ordinary's US prices. 🤦♀️
I have been waiting for this reaction!!!🙆♀
Love the embryolisse moisturizer so happy it comes fragrance free too😍
Hi Cassandra! I believe that the eye cream is the Black Rose Eye Contour Fluid by Sisley (expensive as hell). And yes, you should definitely watch Euphoria.
Omg Yass I love how excited Cassandra got when the Ordinary was brought up
The Embryolisse Lait Creme is just a thicker version of the Charlotte Tilbury Magic cream.
The Eye cream is The Black Rose Contour fluid by Sisley.
I like the caudalie vinosource-hydra gel. But embryolisse is still super good...
The way every specialist reacting to this has been so happy to see the ordinary. 💀
I hate the ordinary 😂😂
"specialist"
Euphoria is on HBO and it is definitely worth it! It is very realistic and relatable. The fashion, make up, hair, the way it’s filmed is all amazing! Highly recommended!
Damn i don't have hbo 😭 i want to watch it so bad
@@swaralipawar5224 one week free trial! Lol it’s so good you could probably binge watch it in that amount of time😂
@@nicolettekeely where? on HBO?
@@swaralipawar5224 yes!
I binge watch their videos 😄👍🏻
I have the avene cleanser at home. It is good for my oily parts. But it is too sensitising on my rosazea prone cheeks.
if you like the french brands and the thermal water stuff, i’d recommend the la roche posay effaclar h cream cleanser. it’s amazing for my oily acne prone skin. doesn’t cause dryness or irritation and cleans well
@@laur83 thank you so much. I like La Roche Posay, but I've never tried that cleanser. But now I will!
I love that channel. One of my favorites 🤩
Omgsh the water ad circa 2009… I was a target to that too. Dang google has been targeting our ads for a minute LOL
Euphoria is a must. In fact, I've been repeating some scenes multiple times. ❤❤
YOU HAVE TO WATCH EUPHORIA ITS SO GOOD
When I don’t use a VERY viscous toner, my skin REALLY lacks moisture… even with great moisturizers (and especially now that I’m limited to more water-based products, yay Folliculitis). ❤️💛💙
Which toner do you use?
check out the benton snail bee skin and keep cool bamboo serum, both are folliculitis safe and work amazing for dry skin.
look into Avène Hydrance serum. I add about 6 drops of the ordinary amino acids B5 into the bottle, and gives my skin everything it needs + I use Uriage Bariésun 50 spf as moisturizer on top.
@@Danicaramell I just started using KLAIRS Supple Preparation Toner (from Amazon), and really like it. I press it into my skin, which is new for me, vs rubbing it in. ❤️💛💙
@@rainbowfish1587 I’ll check it out, thank you! ❤️💛💙
Haha! As a fan of both the JCS - Criminal Psychology TH-cam channel and Euphoria, I'd say both! Both do make you wonder, what is going on?! how is this happening?! Although in very different ways. I was so sad to see the TH-cam channel quit their channel, or had to, though.. they were fantastic
Oh my goodness you described my skin 100% (down to the patches by my nose)! What sunscreen did you end up loving?
This sounds like Rosacea starting to me! Yes/No?
If the dry patches are between your eyebrows and near your nose and you have oily skin it might be seborrheic dermatitis and not actually dry skin. It makes your skin flaky where it's the most oily.
Just an idea, I'm not a doc or anything like that, but I have that same issue.
@@iloveballetnerd the heliocare ultra gel broad spectrum uvb/uva sunscreen
my skin is exactly like that! do you use the same gel cleanser + exfoliant as mentioned in the video or something different?
Yo the toothpaste thing reminded me of something I used to do. Before I realized how sensitive my skin was, I’d legit put toothpaste under my eyes to keep me awake. Yes, directly under the eyes. It stung like hell so I was like “huh maybe this will keep me awake since it invokes such a strong reaction that it hurts to blink” I’d even keep a travel sized tube of toothpaste in my backpack so I could reapply it at school. The thing is, I knew full well that this was probably a bad idea. I was just impulsive and didn’t care.
Cass- I would TRULY love a nutrition video!!! Ugh my fav videos are your reaction videos!!! 🦋
Can I just say Cassandra has AMAZING skin
Watch Euphoria now!! The best show ever!!!
"This is not a video about nutrition" OK but I would really like you to do one sometime about the effect of sugar or other ingredients on skin. I know this might become complex but besides hormones and allergies specific stuff, I think it would be really interesting to get your take on it!
I'm a simple gal. Cassandra uploads a video, I click on it without any thought💞
THAT SKINCUTICLES SHEET IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST
I was told HA ultimately dries out the skin... that it draws moisture OUT from the skin vs. bringing moisture IN to the skin. So for a quick, "plumping skin" before an event, great to use it. But daily wear it ultimately doesn't hydrate your skin??.... help??
Euphoria is on HBO MAX! you should definitely watch it
I use several cleansers and I alternate between Holika Holika rice cleanser, Holika Holika Pig Clear Deep Cleansing Foam, a really mild cleanser with panthenol, niacinamide and allantoin called Neutral, Biotherm Biosource pink cleanser for dry/normal skin (because of the salicylic acid but I will get another, cruelty free, cleanser when the one I have runs out).
Sisley black rose eye cream I think
I actually love watching Euphoria!!
Seeing how happy you are while watching her is amazing! Lol
The eye cream is from Sisley , eye contour fluid black Rose 🤗
That eye cream is the SISLEY BLACK ROSE EYE CONTOUR fluid and it’s $90.
That elta md sunscreen is almost identical to the clarity rx skin defense (new formula)
Never stop watching True Crime, but you can have the best of both worlds!!
The eye cream she’s using is the Sisley Black Rose eye contour fluid. I’m from the UK and it’s £108 👀

Euphoria is available on HBO :)
I use the fragrance free version of the Embryolisse cream which is great. 😊
I started working at a Med spa. We sell Skinceuticals there. I get 50% off all products, so I finally bought the C E Ferulic today. 😊
Euphoria is on crave and if you have a satellite provider and have on demand you should be able to watch the both seasons
she said later in the video that the red bigger spot/area in her red cheek is a scar from a motorcycle accident etc. when she was younger:)
She uses soap on her brows and I was curious about your opinion, since I've read that not rinsing soap off and leaving it on skin can cause flaking and dermatitis
Sisley Black Rose Eye Contour Fluid 131€ on the italian sephora.
She’s so beautiful
Thank you.
Eurphoria is on HBO Max my love 😂 xoxo 😘 Also, the tv show is amazing. HBO did it again
Haven’t watched Euphoria but I know her from Handmaid’s Tale! 😭
That is true... I forgot she was in that show
My skin is sensitive too. And it's really hard to find products that fit on my skin's other necessities (acne, execessive sebum, dehydration).
Hi Cassandra, Great video as always.
