I really like how you consulted w/ the woman in the hat.
Sometimes people really don't know what to ask about what is troubling them. I think by helping her find the language to rephrase her question you helped her a lot more than a divination method could. It's like you are also a psychologist. She now knows to ask "what is stopping me from achieving my goals" when she feels stuck and can turn to herself as a resource to solve her issues which is very empowering.
Obviously, the divinization was still really helpful ! I don't want you to think I am diminishing the insight found within it because it is still powerful. .
