I should have mentioned in the video that if you look at the point of this tool, it is still pristine after years of use and countless hundreds of punches through all kinds of materials. You may pay twice as much for a Starrett tool compared to a Chinese version but it will last a lifetime.
$622 for a centre punch, even if you bought it as a tax deductible, it's still insane. I know I have a tool buying addiction, but man, you are next level 🤣 Might just have to show this video to my fiancé so she will not be as upset if I spend that much but on 5-10 different things.
DewsJievP Dav, I’m glad you persevered to discover the truth. Sorry about that. I’ll pay better attention in the future! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Matter Arkannor, I’m glad you think so. It’s always difficult to know what any given person will think is expensive. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@GottaHaveIt Would love a short where you compare bit sets. I had a touch project hanging shelf brackets on a wall with hollow metal studs. I had trouble with bits walking around even with a pilot hole, and a step bit would have left too large of a hole in the drywall and required patching. I was forced to use 6 wood bits and slowly step up the size until I reached ½". They were still not perfectly centred.

Jesus just opened the Amazon link and it's $62.50 😅 that's fine then. Just the way you said "six ty two" sounded like "six two two" to me.

$62? I was worried you were going to say $300. That is completely affordable.
