Carl are a cool guitar player. I've been playing since I was 13 and I am now 63 and you can show me things I could not ( or am too lazy to) work out on my own. I like your lessons and I like your style.... keep it up.
Thank you dear! I have a talent show coming up and since many say I look like the female version of Brian May, I'd love to preform this on my guitar!! 😄
Excellent. The difference in mainstream guitar players today as opposed to back in the 70's is that there is a lot less unambiguity in modern playing. Brian May can easily be singled out as unique. Lindsey Buckingham is another with his unique sound and finger-picking style. Rhiannon, Landslide or one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs World Turning would be sweet lessons at a future date maybe. Awesome job as always.
frnk iero practice...it's an easy song but try learning each lick one by one. don't try to learn an entire section at once. Repeat each lick over and over till you get them right and then start putting them together
Once you've been playing for a while, you easily pick up things because you would have developed the necessary technique already, as long as you haven't just been playing the same thing for like 9 years :) If you wanna pick up anything quickly, you gotta practice every area!
i can play this at 1.5x the speed it's played but when i first started i couldn't even play it at half speed. it only took a week or 2 of obsession and then it clicks.
JAMES SCOTT NICHOLSON, ONTARIO, CANADA 🇨🇦 THE BEST SOLO COVER YOU’VE EVER DONE!!! THANKS AND SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS, IT IS STUCK ON???
It is such an amazing solo, created by a genius, my favorite guitar player Brian May. Now many rock and roll lovers have a great interpretation, besides this tutorial created by the owner of this productive channel (Carl Brown). I really appreciate your talent Carl, You´re a fantastic teacher. I spent part of my day learning and practicing in this difficult time. I did not find a better way to stay in peace. Thanks for that.
This is really great. Thanks so much. Best tutorial on the web so far on this. You could take it to another level by mentioning the chords and scales that the solo is cycling through. Then I wouldn’t have to learn anything. Hehe.
Carl you are by far the best on TH-cam. Master of the craft. Song request “ I’d love to change the world” by ten years after. Full song. Please and thank you.
its so interesting and u are the best to me...i want ti say thanks to u sio much...u r really really good...a had learnt anyther songs from u,niw also i have learnt this angin...Thank You...May God bless u
There is one variation mistake. The first time the opening riff is played on the record, its a little different. Eb, G, Ab, Bb, C, D, Eb (Which you are doing) but then its Eb, G, (Ab,C,) Bb, C, Bb. Great video, this saved me a bunch of time.
O that is brilliant you are outstanding....I am trying to learn that link in the middle, I have a Telly but I love your Strad and the ebony fingerboard is to die for.....
A fantastic guitar tutorial! But maybe stating which barre chords while sliding could help a bit more. It was hard to tell which chords they were at several point. but keep up the great work!
I can't join ur patron I really wish to but I'm broke. So I can't. But thanks for being in TH-cam I really appreciate u for taking ur time n teaching the song I can only understand you. U are amazing.. God bless you for our work.
Thanks so much. I have learned so may guitar instrumental rock on your vlogs. Will you be doing a lesson on that one as an instrumental rock rendition? Thanks so much.
Once you learned your scales well, it's amazing how easy everything becomes. I started studying that this year after almost 30 years of playing on my own and it was like a fucking epiphany.
its a pinch harmonic, you play the note with the pick but at the same time hit the string with the side of your thumb so that it creates a sound several octaves higher. it's quite tricky to get but if you practice enough you'll start hitting those harmonics whenever you need them.
@@saviodias3803 Yeah. Try plucking a note with your pick and then tap the string with the side of your thumb near the neck pickups and just wait until you get that note and then do it really fast. That's the best way I can explain it. If you look it up on TH-cam, that's where I learned.
How the hell does somebody write a solo like the one in this song? Such a genius
You're right Brian May is a Genius
Freddy murcury wrote the part and brian followed it on the lead.it was all said by brian himself.
Freddie wrote it on piano and brian may played it on guitar. Freddie was a genius.
That chord is a pentatonic scale
