Willys Jeeps - Marble CO - Crystal Mill - Devil’s Punchbowl - Schofield Pass - Lead King Basin

- Wade, Rachel, and I take our Willys Jeeps on a fantastic loop in Colorado. The trail starts in the town of Marble. From there we travel to the Crystal Mill site, Crystal City, Devil’s Punchbowl, up Schofield Pass, Down Schofield to the Lead Ling Basin loop. Then we took lead along Basin back to Marble. The video is lengthy but here are some time stamps so that you can fast forward to the parts you like:

8:28 - Devil’s Punchbowl and Up Schofield Pass
12:30 - Down Schofield (pretty good footage)
19:10 - Lead King Basin
21:24 - Spot a black bear on the trail
I had Wade get in front of me when we went down Schofield and I filmed most of the journey down and got some cool footage of the falls down to the Punchbowl. This starts at 12:30
At 21:24 we came across a black bear that was about 50 feet away. Very cool footage.

Only old Willy’s Overland jeeps can do that very funny trip!.

Did. That loop about 35 yrs ago in Isuzu Trooper. Sketchy I remember, but a beautiful trail. No one else on the road for the entire trip. Thanks for filming.

When I watched Grandpa’s vid of Black Bear Pass/Road I’m pretty sure that 4Runner had a fourth step for the passenger front. Great scenery and wheeling.

Whats a good town to stay in for a bucket list wheeling trip to CO? Somewhere close to all the action.
The wheeling in Colorado is pretty spread out. If you want to wheel in the San Juan Mountains, I’d recommend Ouray. If you want to do some harder wheeling, Montrose is a good spot. There is good wheeling around Gunnison. Also Buena Vista .......

Great video what ever happened about your engine
I tore the whole thing down, thoroughly cleaned it, replaced all the rods, had the crank reground (correctly), put it all back together. Now it runs gr8.
