Neat. To be able to swap back and forth between Ecto 1 and 1A you could print your own decals, stick them on non permanent painters tape and apply without fear of them taking off anything underneath or damaging the paint.
The warning stripes look like plastic clip pieces on the roof that can be switched with a pure white versions for a movie one look, but how are they going to handle the strips on the side of the car? paper thin magnets would be great if they had a bit of metal in it but I don't want to commit to a one and done waterslide/decal that can only be used once...
This is one that I was extremely excited about and hoped that they would do, because let's be honest when we were kids if you had an ecto-1 these are what we all used to imagine it was. I'd also like to mention that for people who couldn't afford it at the moment I did get extras that I will be listing on eBay next year when they arrive. I'll probably do it about a month or so early to get them up for people who are willing to pre-order. I did the same thing with the two in the box and with getting the maximum of five I have one left not including the one I'm keeping for myself
The one thing I think is noticeable from the video as being a possible flaw\mistake is the roof mounted round blue lights in front of the light bars at the front and rear of the car are static, in gb1 and 2 these pulsed on and off at the same time. In afterlife onwards they remain on. And Ecto 1-A they remained on and were green. Though that is a digital render in the video so hopefully it's not something they overlooked.
I want to say Hasbro was pretty good about listening to fan input during the last few projects. If the flashing lights is an oversight, it's possible that could be changed going forward.
Haslabs been hitting it for me recently. Giant Man, Omega Prime, the Rattler, and now the Ecto. I got those 3, and my wallets aching a bit . Good thing I got some gift money I could use. Not gonna get anything after these 4 for a while lol. Worth it for these though.
I'm a _Classified_ collector and this Ecto-1 is *HELLA TIGHT*! I've been wanting an Ecto-1 since I was a kid and I'll be backing this campaign. The only thing missing is an Arsenio Hall figure.
Why would you want an Arsenio Hall figure? All he did was voice Winston in the cartoon. I'm not knocking what he did by any means because the cartoon is very dear to my heart, I'm just curious why the f*** arsenio Hall of all people is who you would pick out to have an included figure of. I mean why not get all the voice actors then, including Dave Coulier you know Uncle Joey from full House because he's the guy that voiced Peter Venkman for the last four or five seasons of the show. I mean this thing literally comes with a lowest Holly figure on top of slimer the library goes and the Ghostbusters in their Ghostbusters 2 Christmas gear outfits. Slime blowers etcetera if you get the deluxe model which quite frankly it's $50 more I don't know why the f***you wouldn't have gotten the deluxe model when it comes with like if you count the figures and everything and extra $150 worth of figures alone. So yeah and it's a clearly a Ghostbusters movie vehicle I don't get what arsenio Hall in The real Ghostbusters have anything to do with this
Okay, so many of you now have a very large 1:1 proton pack, a somewhat smaller ghost catcher and now you're considering two+ of these ginormous cars!? Where on earth do you display all of this stuff? Either you have hoarder-level toy rooms, or very full storage closets :) In all seriousness, this looks like a fantastic package at a great price. My only hesitation is 1) the actual quality (thin plastic and stickers could be lame) and 2) the display space required. Even if i decide to pass, I'm so happy Hasbro is offering this to my collecting community!!

I WANT 2 ECTO-1 & 1A and ALL the figures! IF only the Figures from the Diamond Select series were this size. That line has the OGB in their suits w/ ties, lab coats & more. We need THAT too. The Diamond Select is too BIG for this ECTO-1 line & too tall for the other side characters (Janoz, Peck, others). HasLab needs to make the figures in that line so we can have them ALL together. Especially for those of us building our own FireHouse & more. HOW can I BUY this INSANELY AMAZING DEAL?! I need it NOW!
The Deluxe got me excited. GB2 just don’t get enough love. Since I’m getting the 3.75 Figures for the 3.75 Ecto-1, I’m getting this to set up as the Ecto-1A for sure. If I’m honest, I love 2 just as much as the original, if not a little more. I never understood why a lot of fans don’t enjoy it as much. I was all in when it first came out from loving the original so much, I even got the Bobbi Brown GB2 Soundtrack single cassette from Venture, and listened to it over and over in my Walkman. I’m very excited about this and I hope we get that Tully! Back this project fans!
When it comes to the Slimer figure my opinion is that Fantazm Toys is the only one that gave fans a movie accurate green spud. They did have the Library Ghost but it was all one piece holding the book. However she was cast in the same color as the movie.

This is how you present a basic and deluxe bundle. The value of the added items in the deluxe is astronomical compared to the price bump. One thing that would have made this over the top? Remote control to have all those lights and sounds turn on from a distance. C'mon, right? Woosh, instant order. I'm not even a really, big Ghostbuster fan.
Fortunately the Ecto-1A livery is comprised of "decals" apparently, not "stickers." I really want a little more info on how removable they'll be. Folks aren't necessarily great with sticker applications so there's going to be need for adjustment... and also, if you want to have an Ecto-1 sometimes and a 1A other times, you shouldn't need to buy two of these. Nor have bad sticker placement mar your $400 toy. This looks utterly fantastic... I hope they can nail the decal thing so I don't have to buy two. I might buy two anyway :D
We need Ghostbusters 1 figures in their original uniforms to go with the base model. I hope they get reissued by Hasbro so everyone going for the GB1 look doesn't have to fight for scraps on ebay. Secondary sales picked up after the HasLab was announced and they'll become harder to get at a reasonable price.
The price is fair for what it does and the effort put into it. The question we need to answer for ourselves is if we have the room for it and can afford it. If you are going to buy it, the deluxe package is definitely worth the extra $75. The only thing I don't like about this is that we have to apply stickers rather than having tampographs included on the car already.

I plan on creating a wooden diorama of NY with a highly detailed backdrop scene. For protection and additional visual appeal. Gives me plenty of time to work on it waiting for the Haslab to arrive.
The caution stripes above the doors are the wrong color. Still amazing. Also, I don't believe you get charged until it ships. I haven't been charged for the Two In The Box yet, anyways.

Once the stickers are put on for Ecto-1A, they can no longer be removed, making the alternative Ecto-1 rooftop useless if you want accurate depiction. You basically have to chose one of the 2 options only. I’m surprised Hasbro did that; shouldn’t it be one or the other?
@tord6725 for the Ecto-1B the roof rack equipment gets moved around a bit to make room for the Super Slammer. It also has a smaller satellite dish than the 1A. But yeah, the removable roof rack & decals does make it easier to kitbash a 1B.
Good vid. But I have no interest in the deluxe version just because Ghostbusters 2 falls just behind 2016 GB. So why spend the extra bucks? Despite all that extra stuff for seventy five bucks more it ain't happening.

It's been confirmed via GDL's interview with HasLab that the 1A decals for the deluxe conversion set are able to be removed - and vice versa.

What about a siren? The Haslab LP states lights and sounds, but none of the reviews coming out of the Con states anything about a siren?

Technically you could easily make the Ecto-1B from the game with little to no effort with the 1A stickers and the og roof
