i totally relate to feeling like internal pressure about designs i thought i’d get farther with, especially when people were asking about them a lot! i felt kinda insecure that other people seemed to go from idea -> pattern faster.. but then i realized almost all of them are much simpler designs, and it really does take more work and thought to make a pattern for a fitted garment in so many sizes! so i’m all for the new era of you being kind to yourself and only popping back into the knitting world when it feels fun for you, rather than putting so much pressure on yourself to do it all perfectly 💗
oooh that's a very good point! i do still think it's taken me much longer than average to get these patterns out regardless of that, but it's always good to be kind to yourself about these things 🥲 thank you for the reminder hehe
One Tree Hill is literally my favorite show EVER!!! I am so happy to see younger people watching it. I watched it as it came out when I was in middle school and they announced their last season when I was pregnant w my first son. It was a huge part of my life and is such a comfort show for me.
omg it sounds like OTH was such a vital part of your experience growing up, that’s so sweet 🥹 i wish i had watched it when i was growing up too! but it’s a fun binge now too haha
@@midsummerknits it’s definitely worth all the hours. They have very long seasons. Brooke’s character development is amazing and the last episode always brings me to tears. I couldn’t even tell you how many times I’ve watched thru this show.
Definitely feel you on the knitting slump; this has probably been my least productive year for knitting ever. And I'm okay with that! Anytime my mental health takes a hit, I really struggle with any desire to knit, and my summer was pretty rough. But I've started to get back into it, and I'm hopeful for 2024! Currently finishing up a cardigan as I watch this. 😊
