So stoked. Getting all the tones in a portable cajon. Mine just arrived today. Really Love it!

use good headphones. also consider it's just the camera mic. It does have some body and good tone to it. Sounds cool guys!

I dont get too fussed about the sound. It is a wooden box after all. The skill is in the hands. I love the snare sound. But i would prefer the snare is set inside so that the sound is varied by hitting the cajon in different spots. Seems more convenient. I am not a drummer. But 60 yo and trying. I am in awe of the beats you get out of these things. Who needs a sophisticated drum kit?

Damn, that's top shelf! Great sound. You should patent that snare system, I have never seen that before

Your cajon sounds good, I also want to start making cajons. What wood materials do you use for the body and tapa?

alright, that's cool. I got sent here by an advert on h3h3's podcast #70, and this is super neat!

But why do you need to put off snare mechanism from cajon? It becomes into a simple wood box without it

Did you just use the camera mic?

Sweet! Now I’m going to make one myself and thereby save a ton of money and while I’m at it I’ll pump out 5 or 6 more and sale them. But no snare. I don’t like the snare part. It seems like something that would get broken easily or lost.
