The Yomega Maverick uses 6061 aluminum, which is an advanced type of metal that is also widely used in aircraft on the wings and fuselage, which gives you an idea of the durability.
The Yomega Maverick Yoyo Features a 52.3 mm diameter and a width of 36.5mm. The weight is 60 grams and it the Stainless Steel C Ball Bearing is ( 6 mm x 12 mm x 4 mm)
The Smooth silicone return system allows a less responsive play yet still responds with a mild tug of the hand. Its made from durable 6061 Aluminum Alloy (anodized for extra strength).

I really like how smooth the maverick plays. Only thing is it doesn't sleep for very long. Guess I haven't broken it in enough. Anyone got any tips? X)
Melanie C throw it super hard. And I mean really hard. It's heavier than plastic so it took me a lot of getting use to because it feels way heavier when you throw it
Mines very responsive, doesn't sleep for very long, and its super quite. I got the Silver version ans I wonder if it's due to the finish of the yoyo.
Carlos Martinez I just got mine a couple of weeks ago- get a new bearing(Large C) for 6 pounds and that should fix your problem. I have mine right next to me but I now have a YYF Large C bearing in it, not concaved, and I get 90 secs sleep time.
I know this is late but I got one and to get it to sleep right you have to throw that SOB *super* hard
Mine can sleep 1 minute but it spin out, its not okay yoyo for me but can still do fun tricks with it.
@@mollies13 mines is sleeping for around 7 seconds not even kidding , do you have any clue why ?
@@hypesapphire6314 You bad at throwing mate. Learn to throw useful then your become a faster smoother sleep. me other hand can throw my yoyo up to 10 minutes without stopping.
My maverick doesn't sleep long at all. I have a good throw but watching your video my spin would die and wouldnt be able to catch it if i let it spin as long as you do. Any advice?
To me it last 1 minute then dies, so its okay. It hardly can let me do advance tricks.
I got the protostar yoyofactory for $34.99 it can last me 5 minutes of sleep times but its plastic so I gave it away after pad dies off.
I bought a newer yoyo big Metal heavy yoyo, can't wait to try it.
I got mine just today and it almost never goes back up even though it's totally new.

Mine doesn't wake up at all, I need to do a bind to get it back up. Can someone tell me how to make it more responsive?
Add lube. YOYO LUBE ONLY as other lubes can damage your yoyo or bearing. Add a drop of thick yoyo lube and you SHOULD get it back up with a tug. 3-In-1 Multi Purpose Oil works too but it's a bit thin for responsive play. If not working, then learn the bind as the modern Mavericks are meant for unresponsive play. The bind is easy! I'll see if I can find a link for the bind for you! If you know how to bind, then you'll be better off with the unresponsive Maverick as it can take you really far.
I do bind. But I was just wondering because I saw other people's Maverick's more responsive than mine
Ohhhhh ok. Well enjoy a 50$ quality yoyo for just 15-35$!
Don't ever responsive the yoyo..... you can't do alot of tricks!
doing that hit your face worst then unresposive tricks.

My 10 year old received this today from Santa. He's good with normal yoyos but is not happy with this one. His name is Mavrick and it was supposed to be a special gift. Knowing now it's a less responsive helps but not even my husband can get the yoyo to come back up.
What are we doing wrong?
I actually got one too today, and based on my experience it should be able to come back up. Other tips would be to learn a basic bind if it's really that unresponsive. Otherwise, you might want to buy some thick lube for the yoyo to make it more responsive. And remember, if your son does want to perform the hardest of the tricks, a completely unresponsive yoyo will be necessary. Best of luck!
Edit: be careful with the bind, as it is more meant for unresponsive play!

Thank you very much for your reply. I'm going to give it a few more days for my 19 year, 14 year and my 10 year old sons and husband to work with it more. Maybe it's just they need to get used to it. But if they can't figure it out I'll have to get a hold of the company to see if they can help.
We changed the string already. But I'll have to look into it more. It's just really sad because he loves Yoyo's and I was excited for him to receive it. Especially one with his name on it :)
I hope he will be able to use it.
