I am United Fan and we are very far away from being back, however there is a feeling we are turning the corner now. We finally have administration that is properly sport oriented and no bunch of Bankers that try to play FIFA manager...
My thoughts exactly. Reasonably optimistic for the upcoming season
Have you seen what INEOS has done at any of the previous clubs they’ve been involved with?
@@vinylhorror Have you seen what Woodward, Arnold and Glaizers were doing? I am afraid to look into INEOS but they cannot be worse than the ones I just mentioned...
@@vinylhorror they're doing different things here lol, took some experience to know how to navigate a football club
@@vinylhorrorManchester United are not those other clubs. Respectfully, there is more scrutiny and public accountability that comes with running a Manchester United as opposed to a Lausanne or Nice. The sheer size of United will keep INEOS accountable. They’re off to a great start here
I find it interesting how Americans talk about clubs in the singlular, “United is back” while in the UK, it would be “United are back”
I think its because in America, sports teams are franchises and are seen as businesses, Instead of a team. And businesses aren’t plural
Americans are hyperindividualistic even in language
Almost like the Glazers were a problem...
it‘s insane how much better you can make yourself look when you‘re compared to the glazers😭
Still own the majority.
@@Zain24383 Yes but INEOS controls the sporting department.

Ratcliffe has assembled a backroom staff that actually seem to know what they're doing.
Same as they've always done. Come in offer more, get the player as noone else will pay the same and then call it "united pull"
Player has poor first season, just as bad second and then rinse and repeat
@@MrBrasserie sure
@@MrBrasserie someone sounds a bit salty
We've had some real Muppets running the show for a long time. Imagine owning a gold mine and digging out the soil.
@@MrBrasserie still had to convince the player to join. the player also stated he only wanted real madrid, so yeah. united pull.
The Glazers and Woodward sunk the team. The crazy salary and contracts were directly actioned by Woodward. He was awful.
Im gonna miss being a mid club tbh.
@@BOMBADIDIL why?
@@mikaveryepik3987 idk man, maybe nostalgia. Just the time when we had players like lingard, jones, pogba, felani. It was just fun times and you could even laugh at ourselves like last season. We will get better now but idk, just doesn’t seem as fun.
As a United fan, I would love to see a Ferdinand/Vidic ‘esqe pairing again.
Man Utd is a grave for young stars in recent years because of the significant amount of pressure placed on, either because they are too hyped up by the promises made by press or fans, just like Zealand promise us he will fix the background. Hope Yoro can be developed in a reasonable steady pace like Amad.
And garnacho. I think hes also one of those youngsters who really is putting in the effort and progressing
Yesss young stars such as mainoo hojlund garnacho and amad who are all dying (sarcasm) btw
Garnacho Mainoo Amad all had a good breakthrough season, I just meant people should dial down the hype and let them develop steadily. Rashford and Martial both had one or two breakthrough season and now people are chanting to sell them.
In recent years Garnacho, Mainoo and Hojlund have been thriving.
That's exactly why I hate that Joshua Zirkzee Transfer so bad. With Højlund and Rashford being there he won't be the absolute 9 anymore like he was at Bologna. I absolutely won't be surprised if he becomes a huge Flop. I would've loved to see him go to Milan instead, but I guess United had the deeper pockets.
Best part is Liverpool wanted him(I think 40 mil), but backed away bc they knew Madrid wanted him, now he has just gone to united, also what makes me happy is, we've not gone crazy for him like with Antony, Casemiro, Sancho or Maguire
8th place, europa, terrible season, still got a bigger pull than teams who did better than united.
Paid $60 mil for Casemiro and damn near the same for Yoro when he's free next season. Def gone crazy
@@Luis-kv8zc I'm assuming liverpool fan
@@jasonmillsom2981 Napoli fan mate
@Luis-kv8zc ah the club which finished 10th in their title defense season, great
i am a united fan since the moyes days and it feels so strange to seem them that proactive in july. big changes seem to happen but i am still not completely convinced of that yoro transfer. 60 million for a 18 year old who had one good season doesnt feel like the well scouted gamble i like to see.
Me seeing links to Ugarte and De Ligt: It's so Joever
Me seeing us actually get Yoro: We are so back!
The amount of people trying to turn this transfer around to be a bad thing, like we overpaid for a player with 1 year left, or madrid didnt actually want him, or whatever other nonsese they can think of, just shows how worried they all are that United are seemingly making good decisions again and might be in the right track to being a competent team again.
yeah buddy sure, as a Real fan I m so fking scared of a nothingburger of a team like united lol. You clowns act like you ve signed some prime sergio ramos defender or some shit
Haters are gonna hate, Glory to United!
You..... overpaid for a player, thats just a fact.
Im sorry, but you overestimate yourself massively.
PS: Im not english, nor spanish. I dont support either Madrid, Liverpool or Manchester (or any of the other clubs that were interested in him).
In fact, the club i support and love has never played once against any of those teams (and we never will). I dont fear United, i couldnt give less of a flying f.
My club plays 4th tier in Germany.
But United fans are just funny in their delusion. They are so desperate they call 70 million for less than 12 months of contract runtime "not overpaid" and EVERY single season we hear United fans saying excatly what you now say, just to flop again and again.
Maybe Redcliff makes a good job (i wouldnt bet on it considering the INEOS track record in sports), but getting scammed in a transfer isnt exactly a good argument for that.
@LiftandCoa except its not 70 million, its closer to 50. And if we had let his contract run down then he would have went to Madrid. 50 mil was the cost to get him right now, and I don't think it's overpaying for what could be a generational talent. Especially when teams are regularly spending over 100m on young talents
So if you think spending this amount of money on a young player is getting scammed then I'll gladly get scammed every transfer. 50 mil is basically the standard amount for any decent player nowadays. Regardless if they have 1 year left or jot
@@koalaorange. ppl are just bs'ing, let's hope he develops nicely and actually finds love for the club and doesn't treat it as a stepping stone
Yes your talking about transfers please talk about the luiz Lehmann transfer
No matter where i go there is one constant....once you talk about united ppl will start to find a way to hate and I'm seeing it in these comments
United fans make it impossible not to hate them when they act like this
@@ianrotheroe2540 act like what? Most people just predetermine what they expect from us. Most united fabs said this guy is a great young signing because if he can develop he's going to be great profit and he at the present moment can help the squad balance itself. @@ianrotheroe2540one guy said this on Twitter and ur making a straw man of an entire fan base now. It’s so easy to do that with any fan base
Honestly, it's a win-win for Yoro. He can play in a big club to boost his career, and if it sours he can walk away when he is still in his early-mid 20s - still having potential a big club would be willing to take a punt on.
I have that seasoning salt to his left it's so good and deadly lol awesome vid as well
As a United fan my whole life, the past 10 years have made optimism be like a bad omen, we're far from reaching the levels to compete with the best but I am really happy with the changes behind the scenes starting from letting dead people that were looking after the club and slowly sell players that wasn't meant to be bought in the first players this summer it is looking different even without the signings.
The genius part of this move is that it also makes Lille put mad pressure on Yoro to accept the move. It's either he left for 50M+ or he left for free
Imagine how his last year would've been if he stayed
the 90's are back baby
The one thing that gives me hope with the current transfer team is we’re not being sucked into drawn out sagas and moving on when necessary.
United of the last 10 years would spend the whole summer fixated on Branthwaite only to buckle to giving what Everton want anyway.
You should talk about Man United more often
Not because you’re a fan, I don’t think you are anyway but because you might be the one person on the entire internet who can do so objectively
This is an uncommonly good deal for United to actually pull off
People love to complain. They will always find something to moan about no matter how stupid or hypocritical it is. I am just glad my club is acting almost like it is serious again.
The season salt in the background 😂 Sponsor!!
Love the seasoned salt in the background Z
working that back door is TIGHT!
Apparently Yoro will be on £112k pw. De Ligt apparently would have been on £170k pw.
For a youth player 😅
so? United have to offer more than Madrid if they wanted him to choose us over them, and that is what they did
Would have?...is the transfer off?
@@tedddenzel6769 Uited said they dont have the money for De Ligt
That is some proper, pulled out the ass numbers
What jersey are you wearing looks sweet
Its a start of project for them and we can see it paying off in 4 or 5 seasons time but other than that we should expect a lot from them
Profile wise, close to perfect partner for Martinez. Lacks good 1 vs 1 defending out wide and aerialy in the box, but other than that, he complements Martinez well. However, expecting Yoro to be an above average CB in his first season is harsh, so we need to be patient and expect inconsistency.
Ugarte also agreed personal terms, thrree signings before august rolls around... cant even remember the last time UTD did that
finally exciting times as a united fan
It's a good start for United, but there's still a long ways to go. I think the big turnaround is when they'll be able to be rid of Maguire, McTominay, and Rashford.
As a United fan I'm enthusiastic about it. I'm far more in favour of this than signing de Ligt. £50m for a promising young player on a 5 year deal is a steal really.
Erik ten Hag hasn't got the best out of Antony who he worked with at Ajax, and there was zero signs of life for him reviving van de Beek, also from Ajax. Martinez has been a warrior, but also injury prone, and still doesn't point to a good hit rate for getting the band back together.
If United want to get back to being one of the top teams in Europe, signing a player that two of the clubs we hope to be rivalling in Europe have both decided they can do without in recent years (Juventus and Bayern), isn't the way to go. More Leny Yoros, fewer Mattijs de Ligts, for me!
man u in the last decade proved it doesnt matter who they sign or appoint. the club problems are fundamental, nothing changes untill that get solved. he could be a good player for them or one for the players cemetery but the end result not gonna be much different.
They also are linked heavily to Ugarte
and ofc they got Zirkzee, so it’s clear INEOS are cooking
If yoro turns out to be really good, real will sign him when he's 23 and running out of a contract with united for free
Beard looks good on you bro, suits ya
As a United fan, it's nice to see us dealing with the cards we have this hand, not the cards we had in a different game, years ago. He's already established, this isn't a gamble - it's about time we stopped with the gambles.
He's 18 and has only played in France, not exactly established but he's one for the future
@@inquisitorsneed2 Fair. Established enough to have a couple seasons in him and still be holding his own though - he's not a teen that anyone is asking if he's still going to be a professional player in the future, more if he's going to be a superstar player. He's not established internationally but he's made it through the hazing and honeymoon period well enough.
What gambles? United signed several established top players and made them look terrible, like Varane and Casemiro to just name two. The biggest gamble United has done is to keep ten Hag at this point.
Yo Man U gonna ruin more young talent! Let's go!
This kid is an amazing prospect and no doubt he’ll become a great player no matter where he goes. But the rumors were that his family pressured him, and Lille threatened to bench him for the entire season unless he took the offer, which Fabrizio recently confirmed. I think it’s pretty disgusting that every pre-season there’s a story like this, last year it was Mbappé himself, and he said it took the Luis Enrique and the sports director convincing the club’s board to let him play.
Personally I think going to Madrid would’ve been much better for his career, they’re simply a more competitive club, and he’d be mentored by the right seniors. Plus he’d play with 4 fellow French nationals, one of them being the captain. I think the immediate money and results were considered, instead of his long term career.
I feel like this only works if United also signs de ligt. Yoro having the freedom to develop behind martinez and de ligt as a 3 choice has to be must.
Throwing him in the deepend will probably end this kids career like it has done to many others before.
Man United is the hardest team to play for in the world, especially for a young player
Basically, Madrid figured the guy would get sick of United's shit at some point and they can get him anyway.
I told so many Man United fans they were delusional for thinking Leny Yoro would pick them over Madrid and Liverpool. I guess this is karma.
With all due respect. But, who tf is this kid??? Never heard of him 70M is insaaane!!!
70?...thought it was around 40-50
@@tedddenzel6769 It's £52m
real madrid and man united have been the 2 biggest clubs in the world due to the history of both clubs. man united used be very close to being the real madrid of xfer windows. there were plenty of players who rejected real madrid to stay in man united back then during the golden era. united still has the biggest fanbase in the world even with their recent decade of downfall. anyone who cant acknowledge this is just delusional or has not enough football knowledge.
Yoro is start but if his FM stats are anything to go by dont expect a world beater in his first few seasons until he fills out physically.
lol
My only problem here is that at 26 when yoro will be in the prime of his career, he will go to Madrid on a free
Lowerys in the office though?
De Ligt is still very likely going to United
Z, United need a full 11 before they are anything close to being back. Ten Haag was losing to teams like Forest on the regular.
It's Man United, they'll rush him into the first team, pile pressure on him to solve all their problems, he'll make a couple of high-profile defensive errors leading to goals, lose his confidence and fail to reach his potential. I'd say it's like a 50% chance this happens, for his sake I hope not
cry
Licha + Yoro = Prem aint ready
Maybe this is copium as a Liverpool fan, but the contract is 145k per week, which is a mammoth amount for an 18 year old with less than 50 first team appearances. I’m sure he’s good, but so are Sancho, Casemiro, and any number of expensive flops. I think the culture is the problem at Manchester United, and they haven’t really shown any signs of fixing that.
£44m transfer, £10m in add ons. £5m of the add ons and 'difficult' to reach according to Romano.
If Utd want to be that old utd they gotta start with winning + everyone thinks they are a stepping stone which has never been the case except maybe Cristiano beckham and Rudd didn’t want to leave
There is a weird war between Man U and Everton fans on twitter. Each claiming they arent arsed
this isnt the first time some amazing young striker joined the club or some up and coming centerback has...
Whether this is a good deal of not will depend on the wages he's getting. If they overpay him and he underperforms, it will be hard for United to sell him or loan him out. That happens to a lot of their players
United are* so back.

Sell on value? A $70m player is Nicholas Pepe signing. Getting sell on value is going to require he come good and exceed potential rather than meet. $30-50m I get. But Saliba cost less than $40m and no one is talking about this kid in VVD categories the way they talk about Saliba. It’s very odd.

I don't see it. We have bought a completely average forward and an 18 year old for well above the odds. In 12 months I expect the discourse will be "What were United thinking signing these two?" and not "Wow, what amazing pick ups by United."
I hope I am wrong but I can't help seeing this as just more of the same.

@@moonchild-hg7of I guess we will see in 12 months. People said the same when I said we would be lucky to finish 6th last season. I was right.
I think they’ll be good for us but I mostly agree with what you’ve said. Zirkzee is exciting and his career has been on an upward trend so I could see him being a surprisingly successful player for us by the time he moves on. Yoro i am more cautious about, his price and the fact he’ll likely be starting in the premier league is going to put immense pressure on a player who is not the finished product. I can see Yoro at United going very badly but I’m hoping he’s successful and is given time
@avademonet5646 I think Zirkzee is the one I am less positive about. I genuinely think we already have 5 attackers better than him, at least. Yoro, I have hopes for in the long run, but I can't see it being anywhere near instant. Best case scenario, he ends up doing a Saliba and grows into the role. For first season, I expect very little, though.
I m at least glad they aren't just marquee names on huge wages, though.
Yoro gives me rio Ferdinand vibes. And we got our butcher! Come on!
Yeah but so what if he ends up at Real. United get the money they paid or more and with PSR/amortisation, that funds the next squad overhaul.
Pretty sure Yoro is just using United as a stepping stone to get to Real, like Rudiger did with Chelsea.
I don't get this appreciation of Perez. He leverages players against their own teams (and fans). "Real Madrid timing" is not a baller move, in this case it's just a way of asking an 18 year old to screw the club that got him to where he is, including not least the Lille fans. What United did so great here (I'm guessing of course) was to recognize the psychology in that. Lille deserved that money and Yoro deserved to not be asked to be a dick.
This video is like a bat signal for united fans
united is a tomb for ballers
He can do 5 years at Utd and go to Madrid when he’s only 23. Classic Man Utd behaviour. I hope Lille have a sell on clause.
The only worry for Man UTD is if he ends up leaving on a free to Rewal Madrid in 5 years
It could be a success for United if Real still want him in 5 years, if not then he’ll be a flop
He flopped in my Fulham save. United are finished
How can a centre back flop? You must be a very bad manager
Between Zirkzee and Yoro, I'm ready to be hurt again by United this year
i would also join a team paying me 150k a week at 18 paying more 50m for me

It really should be against the rules to do what Real Madrid does. Teams shouldn't be able to conspire with players that are contracted to a different team.
these players want to play for madrid since they are kids. why punish madrid for that.
@@yty445 Why punish a team for doing shady shit to fuck over other teams? Are you really asking that question? If a player wants to play for a team, they should let their contract run out WITHOUT conspiring with the team they want to be on. It's pretty simple.
