The fact you're concerned about not having lots of content sorted for when you have your surgery. I appreciate your honesty, just goes to show how much you put into it. Just remember that you've gotta look after yourself too. I've got a puppy too and it's stressing me out because he's being naughty and I've got a life and two kids to get on with. Quick tip for shepherd owners (or dog owners in general): when my shepherds get an upset stomach or they have diarrhea I always make them morosche carrot soup. I put carrots and chicken breast in a pot covered just enough with water or homemade bone broth (sometimes I make a huge batch and freeze it) and a tiny bit of salt, cook it until soft /cooked through, take out the chicken and shred it, blend up the carrots with the liquid and put the chicken back in. My dogs absolutely love it and they're back to normal the next day, sometimes even the same night. Hopefully some of you guys find this helpful :)
I probably wouldn't give this for an upset stomach only because the salt and carrots are high in sugar. For anything like diarrhoea you should give plain boiled chicken and white rice, this is a blande diet thats easily digested. Small meals little and often to keep the guts moving.

When cooked for at least 1,5 hours, carrots release a substance (don't know its name in English) that prevents the diarrhea causing bacteria from clinging to the intestinal walls. There are tons of online articles about Dr Ernst Moro that discovered the soup as a reliable cure for diarrhea for humans and animals back in the early 1900s :)
@@julietdelta611 thats the reason why you use rice in a sense as its absorbing the liquid making it into a solid to prevent further fluid loss from the body and then binding the stomach contents to solidify it when it is excreted from the body therefore meaning to reduce vomiting and diarrhoea...if soup works for your pets then thats great. Im only expressing opinions we give at my veterinary clinic and what i study during veterinary nutrition, every doggo is different though so as long as it helps them get better thats all that matters :)

A little hack for parking on Glasgow! If you put a ticket on for the two hours and then do a ringgo after. Dunno if it’s allowed but I used to do it all the time and never got a ticket. Hope it helps!

I get the same. I know were both Cancers and I always get so mad at myself when I cant preform at my best. It's hard to take that time to rest sometimes with the job you have but take care of yourself!

We give Lucie Merrick dog food and some wild Alaskan salmon oil from Zesty Paws. We too found out she has a sensitive stomach, but she does very well with those two combined. Almost 9 and acts like she’s 4!! 😁🐕

You should try making your own dog food for your pups. My dog Samwise Gamgee has a horrible stomach. When I adopted him I didn’t know he had three different GI infections. Two cleared up pretty fast but the third one took months to clear. His stomach just can’t handle kibble at all. He is also allergic to chicken, white potatoes, and salmon. I paid so much money each month to give him speciality dog food and he was just getting worse, losing fur, lack of energy. So out of desperation I started making his. I buy three pounds of ground turkey and cook it, add in 6 cups of cooked brown rice, 2 cups cooked oats, frozen peas, frozen green beans, frozen butternut squash and two cans of pumpkin purée. He gets 1 1/2 cups twice a day. The big batch lasts me a week, but it freezes well too. Within two days his stomach was so much better, no upset stomach, vomiting or diarrhea. Two weeks in his fur grew back and was shiny and healthy. 6 months in he is the healthiest he has ever been in the three years I have now had him. And it actually saves me a ton of money. Also I put grains in his food because of the risk of taurine deficiency. Chat with your vet about it and see what they think.
What country were your dogs bred in? For example, I've heard that German bred German Sheperds have much bigger paws than American bred German Shepherds and I want to know if that's true or something you know about at all? I'm curious.

I know how ye feel haha I have 2 puppies at home and it’s so so rewarding but so so hard 🙈 Juno and Drogba are adorable x
