Probably thousands of tenors can sing the notes with perfect pitch. BUT -- only a handul can imbue this song with the pathos and sadness that the lyrics demand. Johnathan is at the top of that very short list.

This song was written as folks were excited on the way back home to a family reunion. It was meant to be upbeat and excited. That's why Denver delivered it like he did. It did not demand this pathos. Its pretty, but it takes the excitement of the reunion and takes it to a weariness and sadness that is only perceived by some to be demanded.

I am a recent Jonathan Antoine Addict. One thing I’m noticing with him is that he doesn’t just sing a song, he fully lives it. Here he is completely and perfectly living a soldier with survivor guilt…as an old soldier it is heart wrenching to watch. What an amazing performance!!

This young man is amazing. What a voice. And so shy and humble. He played at our concert hall where I had the pleasure of meeting him and his mum who travels with him. The cellist is outstanding in this

One of the most beautiful things I've witnessed in my life is Johnathan. I'm 58 years old.

I have lost so many friends too soon. I am not a man that cries. But, this filled my eyes. Thank you Johnathan.

Cellist was cosmic!!! Johnathan is what opera is about! Paul Pots sings opera...but he is not opera! Johnathan is truly an opera star!
