- We will be playing through the entirety of the September 1996 PaRappa the Rapper prototype! Apologies for the lack of skill, I'm still a bit rusty at this game.

Differences between this and the final version:
You can spam button inputs and get points.
Sometimes, you do not fail the stage if you drop below Awful.
Stage 7's audio file, STAGE7.XA1 apparently differs from final, however the differences are trivial/unnoticeable. This also applies to Stage 3's FMV. These may need further investigating, but the files in the final build could just be simple re-renders or exports.
S8/XMOVIE8.STR, the end credits of the game, includes a credits sequence that differ from the final build slightly. A couple of examples include "P.Fleaswallow" being referred to as "P.Freaswallow" and Joe Chin's last name being lowercased.
The executable file is named PRR.BIN instead of SCPS_180.02. This appears to differ from the final build but at this time it is unsure in what ways.
Every folder's COMOD(X).BIN file differs from the final build. As there seems to be a lack of public documentation for PaRappa 1's file formats, all I can gather is that there seem to be a lot of internal differences from these bin files to the final. The English dialogue appear to match the final NTSC-J release, unsure of Japanese dialogue.

when stage 4 starts, the tiles disappear differently in the proto, in the proto it's spiral-like and in the final game it's semi-random
I like PaRappa's movement rapidly repeating in the background, as the loading tiles show up on the title screen.

prototypes are a rare species entirely, wonder if they have one for umgammer lammy and PTR2...
oh yes. We found a few out there, and there's most likely a PTR2 prototype that has the unused BAD and AWFUL songs, and there was a UJL prototype showcased in a few trailers, but sadly it hasn't been found (unless it was destroyed)

Things i can notice on prototype:
1. They removed the cutscenes
2. They removed freestyle
3. It has bad pronouncing-
4. Idk if its possible to get “cool” on prototype
5. The words are now Japanese
6. They don’t have to scene when you start the part to play
7. Moose gameplay is a lot more different
