Don't forget, he only AOE's when he SURPLUS heals, so when he was down a bit and got his heal there wasn't any extra for him to AOE off of, hence the no poisons after those particular turns.
Finished my orc faction wars with him in a stun set. Vrask healed him and he put a respectable amount of stuns!! Helped me a lot! Glad you shed light on this memelord of a champion!
@@dylanmeyer7314 check ironclads ascension, maybe the passive is not unlocked yet. Also make sure that vrask crits regularly. I just tested my duo to see if it still works and it does.
I have him in my 2key UNM team in a toxic set. with demytha as a healer he basically gets 2 attacks every turn (2 chances to proc poison), cleanses, increase ATK and he gives the rare bonus for daily mission. Great champ
7:09 he’s not procking it here because his passive says it only does damage on surplus heals. But he got hit twice here so when he’s getting his turns now he’s not getting any surplus heals. And now at 7:25 he’s at full health again which is why he’s procking his passive because he’s getting surplus heals again
And if this doesn't convince people, together with Vrask he can do work in Faction Wars. Icing on the cake when talking about FW is he has a cleanse with attack up which can activate Ultimate Galek's AOE hp burn which also helps a ton for waves in FW.
It would be nice to try team like 5 ironclads, 4 in stun sets and one in toxic. Cos if u lock enemies this can be much faster i think. It could probably work even at lvl 30.
I was just looking at this guy today for a possible tanky filler so I can finally 3 star stage 19-21. That's so crazy that he can proc artifact sets with passive. I have a max Vrask who throws out chunky heals every single turn.
Funny that you mention Warmaster. i've build my fenax in toxic before (who does that anyway) and the best thing about it is that he would do a triple hit if the target had no debuffs and with the first hit the poison was applied...3 hits from fenax will melt anyone. i reported the bug to plarium and tried it weeks later and wasnt working but my fenax was not using warmaster anymore.
Haven't watched video yet but I actually use him in one of my clan boss teams. Great cleanser and attack champ, tried him out when I had no cleanser for my team.
the double posion is extremely simple to understand, he attacks (1 poison) at the same time he also HEALS himself with the immortal set which triggers the Passive, 2nd attach AOE (2nd poison)
Im sorry what do you mean by that? Specifically "he attacks (1 poison)". We see two poisons drop before he even uses an ability, basically on upkeep. My guess is that damage is procing warmaster\damage based blessing and therefore a second poison. When "he attacks" he only has single target skills as well, and we see double poisons drop on multiple champions I believe. What am I missing here? it seems pretty effective either way.
@@vktesla the passive attacks with 50% of the extra heal done by his 2 piece gear set, and triggers the poison set also, which is the 2nd poison put on each attack
I wonder if you gave him stun and stuff like heals when a enemy does if he could possibly cut in in arena by stunning when say arbi boosts which heals aswell. Edit he also has to be full hp for passive to trigger as its surplus heal and master hexer has a chance of extending the poisons.
5:30 I dont think he should be procing the poison set twice, but he is, once with the passive hit and another time with the warmaster. Am i crazy to think generaly sets only proc once per move, i dont see my multihitters putting more than one poison, right? O.o Maybe the way they coded his passive make so the origin of the damage from the passive not to be himself, but the immortal set, and yet the poison set is being taken into consideration and proc'ing, and then the warmaster will count as him, hence the second poison... truly have no idea. Imagining stun set having twice per turn the chance to stun looks actually broken... damn awesome build. Cheers!
What about using 2 of him in a team with someone like elenaril? To get the instant activation of the poisons, with a healer that heals alot. Maybe for us ftp or low spenders.
I have 3 with Woad on a Tag Team squad. She has 100k hp and they all have as much crit damage as I can fit. If we go first it’s almost always game over.
Two Ironclads plus Woad Painted NUKES! Be sure to have some immortal or regen gear on the Ironclads to keep them topped up so the heals are all surplus.
I mean... i use serris, woad, iron clad x2 in one of my go 2nd arena teams Edit: his a1 hits pretty decent for being an hp based rare 2nd edit. I could see potential with this in iron twins for consistent poison damage
passive has 1 turn cooldown, it won't proc as many times as you think, plus is only from surplus heal, so if he doesn't get overhealed it won't deal damage.
Ironclads passive has a 1 turn cooldown which means he has to take a turn every time he uses it before he can use it again, so you cant just chain it with scyl and doompriest, or you would have to run your ironclads at very high speeds but at that point its not really worth it anymore
there is a team here with woad painted 1s nuke arena team with ironclad th-cam.com/video/5zeywB1RjLY/w-d-xo.html also consider on normal teams if you pair with ultimate death knight he can avoid taking some damage, and surely if he damages based on surplus heal you don't want to add any HP to his kit so the heals overheal more?
It's funny that you were getting so upset despite being wrong. Watch from 7:24. The enemy on the right has no poisons. Iron clad gets a turn, attacks someone else, yet the enemy on the right gets two poisons. His passive can place two poisons. The enemy he attacks that turn actually gets 3 poisons, two from the passive, one from the A1.
Don't forget, he only AOE's when he SURPLUS heals, so when he was down a bit and got his heal there wasn't any extra for him to AOE off of, hence the no poisons after those particular turns.
And it also makes taunt set to get provokes out less good since he wont be full health if he gets hit
Finished my orc faction wars with him in a stun set. Vrask healed him and he put a respectable amount of stuns!! Helped me a lot! Glad you shed light on this memelord of a champion!
Bro vrasks heal didn’t trigger my ironclads passive, not sure why with him maintaining full hp

he has to heal over 100% to do the damage. It has to be a surplus heal to trigger the passive. that's at least part of it
And if this doesn't convince people, together with Vrask he can do work in Faction Wars. Icing on the cake when talking about FW is he has a cleanse with attack up which can activate Ultimate Galek's AOE hp burn which also helps a ton for waves in FW.
Really this shows to be a very secure way yo go on this secret room, that's what everyone need. Thanks for the show up.
NOW IS THE TIME FOR A TOXIC ARENA TEAM! Ironclad, rector drath, skytouched shaman, and teodor
Thanks for this Nub. Just cleared using this tactic. Took some resources to complete but happy its done. Need those rooms done for Ramantu.

or two of Vrasks and two Ironclads in stun and one in toxic sets :D
Awesome! I have two of these in the vault and need to do room 7! 😮. They also do something cool with Woad Painted too right?
My guess for the double poisons is from the immortal set and the PK healing.
Possibly the PK healing is proc'n the immortal set
Thanks, useful video. What were the painkeepers and gnarlhorns wearing?

I got him in an immortal and regen set for DT, haven't tested it yet but eager to see it.
This one will be my second rare I max out after the starter champion. I want to try him with some passive healers like Master Butcher
If it's because of warmaster, I think phantom touch also can proc toxic. Looking forward to testing

I know this video was about Ironclad but love to see Marauder getting some love in Doom Tower with the HP based rare secret room
Haven't watched video yet but I actually use him in one of my clan boss teams. Great cleanser and attack champ, tried him out when I had no cleanser for my team.

It isn't unlucky it's the fact that he needs to start the turn at full health in order to proc the effect. 👍 😉
I use this guy with my level 60 Woad Painted, I actually am building two of him. I hadn't thought of toxic sets though.

can u put apothecary instead of pain keeper in this combo?
does his passive work with warmaster/giant slayer
Amazing!!! This is going to help out my new F2P account!

How does Lifesteal and Bloodthirst sets work on Ironclad? Does the heal cause damage again?

Ironclad is Mr. Iron CLAP! Great to see him get some love. 😄👍
With aoe healers works well in stun gear, depending on whatever dungeon
I'm stealing that technique for sure.
If he's full HP and his regen set kicks in, then his passive also kicks in. Read his passive.
Would the Bloodthirst artifact set proc this passive for Ironclad?
Would this work in a stun set?

Irom with immortal set and Stun AND 2 pain keepers he helps my auto team in that rare ONLY hp room
Man I might switch mine from Stun to Toxic for this. This is my worst SR at like 280 turns (auto obv) so maybe this will speed it up some!
I gave him a regeneration set, and he's a beast
Woad painted and 2 ironclad… TH-camr did a video the amount of dmg is crazy
Pair him with Demytha. I put him in arena and he was one shotting everyone. Arbiter boost. Lydia/Serris do their thing. Demytha heals. Ironclad smash!

I think the two poisons come from the life steal masterie
I can’t figure out why he’s not aoe hitting every time vrask crits for an aoe heal when his HP IS FULL EVERYTIME
I’m guessing you are pairing him with woad painted.
This build with a pair of vogoths?
Try him in arena with Cardinal and the uncommon Frostskin
Scyl, Doompriest, 2 Ironclads + any solid passive healer. Someone needs to do this and share a video

The second your video started I tried to get the gems from your gem mine I think I’m playing too much…lol
He has to be full health or it want proke the surplus health
oh! what!
Clever.
Use him with Woad Painted
He has to be full health to place the poisons/proc his passive.
As much as I think this champ will help with secret rooms, I can't bring myself to put full masteries on a rare.
Not even on Kael?
@@kimmern999 I never even used Kael. 😝
@@thefirstKenpachi Me neither, but IF you choose to use him, his kit is more than worthy of a full upgrade (books and masteries).
He didn't get the hit from the heal while he was stunned because it didn't heal him over 100% not because of the stun
How fortuitous, I just got him to 60 for rare hp secret room.
Built him out in toxic, finished my last room for all rotations, and even made the top 30, lol. Thanks, Nubs.
