100%. This seems like the first on-point Superman film since 1980's Superman 2! I'm such a fan of Superman that I refuse to ever watch Man of Steel as I find the clips horribly dark.
James Gunn bringing his Guardians magic makes me really optimistic. I also wasn’t the biggest MOS fan so this looks more up my alley. Makes me excited for the hopeful future of the DCU with Gunn at the helm.
Superman did speak. He said Home, take me home... country roads hehe. I fell in love with Christopher Reeve Superman when it first came out in theaters in 1978 and he will forever be my Superman. I wasn't into the dark broody Superman that have been coming out of DC after that because in the comics, Superman is always a ray of sunshine. I also like that it somehow still uses John William's original score and so I have a good feeling about this and then we have Krypto first live action Superdog I believe. I hope this is a beginning of a good DC Extended Universe.
@@blackjack67576and you are really rude. Those who were genuinely surprised by Krypto’s appearance were the lucky ones because they would have had that much better an experience in that moment because of it. Now back under your bridge, little troll.
Man of Steel missed the mark for me too. It was pretty much the opposite of what I want from a Superman movie. Giving in to a cynical world instead of challenging it with optimism. This reboot might be a chance to rectify that.
There are two fight scenes with superman in the trailer. There's the fight against the kaiju and the fight against the black suited figure in the metropolis meteors stadium. There's also a fight with mr. Terrific shown at the end.
People keep saying it feels like an old friend is back, and I appreciate that feeling from movie-goers, but as some one who reads the comics week to week and watched Superman and Lois and the first two seasons of My Adventures with Superman and Justice League Action before them and even some of the DC direct to video animated movies, I assure every one that he's been here - on the page and small screen - the whole time.
If you ever wondered how people felt in 1978, this is it. I highly recommend the DC Animated shows of the 2000s, in particular Justice League Unlimited.
Thank you for your video. I have watched almost all of the reaction videos (seriously, so many) and yours was in the top 3 best ones that I watched. Genuine with humility. The ridiculous over the top brand wannabees could learn a lot from you. Please don’t lose that innocent and innate curiosity.
Oh! And I think you were the only other person who caught and responded to the split second glance from Clark to Lois at the start before his eyes wander off to look at random things in the room as if he intended to. A classically sweet and goofy moment done well. It seems like the love story will get some time in the light too which will be great.
The first Christopher Reeve Superman movie from 1978 has always been one of my favourites, and I'm glad James Gunn is incorporating John Williams' theme in the new movie (hopefully it's not just a trailer thing!) Also, re people figuring out Clark is Superman: there's a brilliant scene in the 1978 movie which shows Reeve switching back and forth from Clark to Superman by not simply removing his glasses, but also changing his posture and voice. @analyticalplum Looking forward to it too - Guy Gardner’s goofy haircut and all! 😂😜 Only gripe I have with it (and its teeny tiny) is that it is Luthorcorp and not LexCorp like the comics, but that doesn’t detract from how good it looks at all
Comic book wise what's more important between Gunn's new Superman selection of the suit or Superman personality?, for example Snyder's boring, platonic and emotionless portrayal of Superman. I choose as more important Superman's personality, I choose the real down to earth, humble, caring and classic Gunn Superman personality!.I care less about esthetics such as clothes, what is important to me is his personality and what Superman is supposed to stands for traditionally! The first time when people saw a stoic, bland and emotionless Henry Cavill wearing Superman's suit they only praised the suit because it was the only recognisable thing linking it to the classic and traditional Superman but as soon as people saw the new trailer with the new Superman people got excited , emotional and drawn to him because they finally got the comic's version of Superman they were wishing and waiting for!

Other reactors showed the trailer completely without any obstruction, video or audio. I'm pretty sure WB/DC appreciates the free publicity.
I tried uploading it (around 5 times) but they weren’t having it 🤣
@analyticalplum that’s unfortunate because I’ve seen it pretty much uncut on so many channels. I don’t know why they bothering you, that sucks.
