@@kaptainzdragon5478 kai is half american and was born in hawaii, but he lived in China and eventually Korea for most of his life. i think he mentioned that he forgot a lot of mandarin and english after he moved to korea. meanwhile yeonjun, who moved to california when he was 9 and lived there until about 11, must have been practicing a lot more frequently and probably learned better living in the states. although both are very good, yeonjun does seem to be a better speaker. hope this helped, i’m not entirely sure either if i’m honest

not really. when you absorb a different language at a very young age, you'd be surprised how well you'll remember it. my first language is not english nor do ppl around me speak english exclusively to me. the only english source i had was from religiously watching disney channel when i was young and i grew up to have adapted the american-english accent. i didnt even know how but i just started speaking english that way and i cant shake it off. 🤷🏻♀️
