    Honestly you were a big part of why I joined crow's nest, seeing your brews that were all totally unique and competetive made me really want to see what you did behind the scenes. Very proud of you for taking it all the way even though 8 months later I still have no idea how you do it 🙏

      Wholesome comment. 🥹
      When we first reached out to Karpath to ask if he wanted to join the team (when it was first forming) it was honestly kind of a Hail Mary. I didn’t think it was likely he would be interested. So I was beyond stoked when he accepted the opportunity. He was - and still is - such a legend in this community.

    game 1 vs Romloms, doesnt the BoM make it so the Enrise "forgets" its specialed and stays on the field?

      It’s still considered a special summoned monster

      How? It’s still a SS monster? Lol the game forget what the card is, not how it got there.

    • @CrowsNestRetroYGO
      @CrowsNestRetroYGO 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pppupu936 no it’s 100% still known to be special summoned. There’s a very complicated list of what is remembered and what is forgotten when a card is flipped face down.

      @@CrowsNestRetroYGO no what? I’m denying that bom makes the game forget? I’m asking how does bom make it forget to op. Lol

    One thing I noticed is that you don't actually play optimally a lot of the time, but the matches just end up going your way because your deck is better and you draw into the gas you need to win. Think this gives hope to some lesser skilled players. You don't have to play super well, just try to be creative and bring a deck that doesn't take bad matchups / gets countered every match post side and you can still go far.

      I do not think it is possible to top an event without playing well, but It is certainly possible to top without playing optimally because there is no such thing as playing optimally. Most situations have multiple plays which could be perceived as correct without the benefit of hindsight. In general I would say that I made fewer major misplays than usual in this event, which likely contributed to my success.

    • @donnieg.9789

      @@Karpath_ of course you still have to play well to win an event. But if youre playing a deck that takes a lot of good matchups and doesnt lose post board, you can get away with a lot more misplays than someone playing the targeted top meta. So i think this video really puts this on display. Some of your opponents just couldnt do anything. Additionally, the video also shows how everyone needs quite a few lucky breaks to win in a yugioh event. For me personally, playing exceptionally well in game and finding/building a good rogue deck are 2 different and equally impressive skills. And either one can lead you to victory with a decent portion of luck
