I understand that the female clowns are bigger....but does their sex change....let's say you had 2 males or 2 females, if one was bigger than the other would the biggest then become a females and the smallest then become a male or is that just the best way to sex them bc the females grow faster/bigger than the males? Also, can you interested breed the different types of clowns Excellent video! Can't wait to see more......
+Lacey's place Thank you. Yes their sex does change, it is based on their social position within the group. To my knowledge, once they are female they cannot move back to male.
@@FishTankBarn so if you had 2 females then you'd never get a breeding pair but if you had 2 males then the lesser dominut one would turn into a female....that's very interesting...thank you for teaching me something new today
If you are interested in additional footage on the fish barn check out this video. th-cam.com/video/zQL3TDkUUbc/w-d-xo.html
I can’t get tdo food in Canada. Do you have a link on the food you used?
I see my clowns laying in DT . 😀
I would try if you can to remove the rocks from your DT and try to put them in a small tank with an airstone

What is your lighting schedule for the parent fish do you add lights at night ? Are the fish on a 12 or 14 hour cycle? Salinty ? Temperature?
I used around a 12 hour light cycle, 1.020 salinity and 82F temperature

Can you use frozen Rotifers?
You could in a pinch but the live cultures are preferable. Actually TDO size A would work too but you may not get a good yield.
Very cool... Nice to learn!
Thanks Mobb Guppy
