Is this a 2020 or older? I know in 2021 they changed to a steel steering box.
it's a 2020 and they did replace my steering box to the steel one on my second week of ownership

@@TanDiego the car market is absolutely insane right now. I know people that have car dealers offering people more for vehicles they bought from them months and months ago.
I bought my truck 5 years ago for $38,000 used about a year old. I put 56,000 miles on it and sold it to the dealer for $31,000. UNREAL!
I think you could turn that Jeep easily for $55,000 and that’s here in Texas. I hear the California market is absolutely off the rails crazy with people getting double what vehicles are worth.

I owned a Grand Cherokee and had issues with it. Not the same, but issues none the less. I had to write off Jeep. Never again with Jeep. I went to a Porsche Cayenne. Take a look. Based on your previous cars... You will love it!
I agree with you, probably wouldn't recommend jeep. I was looking at the Cayenne too but there's no inventory, it's crazy time to switch cars right now.
Just ordered a new JL myself. I've done lots of research myself on the steering. New to the JL is the electric power steering pump over the traditional belt driven pump. I've heard that some Unlimited Wranglers steering pumps came programmed incorrectly from the factory. They came programmed as a 2 door and not the 4 door. You could ask the dealer to flash the PCM to make sure you are getting the correct power steering assist from the pump. Good luck
I have heard that too but according to my dealer, everything is correct. I'm not going to waste my time with them anymore. I actually ordered another car and waiting for it to arrive.
So did you get an alignment? I would adjust the steering gear box there are 5 youtube videos on it and it is easy to do.

Yeah I think it's time to sell this could be a sign in the beginning at least that's how I feel if I bought a new car and I was having this many issues you shouldn't dread driving your car especially a new one seen your videos and your path cars you seem too happy with them I've lived in San Diego especially if you going down to 163 ports Fashion Valley speeds get high real fast as you're nearing the 8 the last thing you want as for vehicle that wanders all over the road and has really bad steering sensitivity.
Exactly, I feel like i'm holding onto my dear life as times, no joke. The car market is just so crazy right now though, everything has a markup so I don't know what to get into...
What helped me was the new steering box and Mopar lift control arms on stock suspension.

try the steer smart bracket instead of the synergy and adjust your steel toe.

@@TanDiego I'm sure you are aware of the service bulletin that replaces the steering gear box. I have a fully loaded Rubicon diesel and I'm at my wits end. I have to constantly hold the steering wheel to the left or it will go off the road. And whenever I hit bumps the steering wheel shakes violently. Dealer keeps telling me "no problems found" I'm furious at this point.. $65k for a vehicle that can't drive in a straight line. Incredibly frustrating. Hope you got yours working ok.
@@IndianMC-jf3cp oh I totally feel you. They replaced my steering box my second week of ownership. If you watch all my videos I pretty much documented all my problems with it but I actually just sold it last week.
Same issue on my 2019 rubicon. I love the look hate the steering and the way it drives. I wish they fixed this. Sad that even after you replaced the steering box your still left with a car that drives shit for all that money. I wish I would’ve gone with something else
