Just to inform those who haven't heard yet, it has been revealed by an animator that the production committee of Blue Lock cut out a vast majority of the animators' work and essentially assigned one dude 5 episodes to work on from scratch with almost 0 layout. He then quit and the task was handed off to another overworked animator. Animators did the best they could with what they had and it probably would have been miles better if not for the cuts that the studio's production team made to the actual good animation, sadly.
about this anime, I think other than investing to the animation, they used their budget for the voice actors. they casted big names and putting them as side characters like, imagine putting VA of Saitama, Tanjiro, Ryusui, Sakura Haruka, Levi Ackerman, Loid Forger, Muichiro, Rengoku, Uzui Tengen, Tsukishima, Kuroo, Sukuna, Gojo and other big voice actors as the freaking side characters... i mean that would cost a lot 💁🏻♀️
