I love all the Danvers Sister moments, but one of my FAVS is when Alex just jumps off the building, because Kara is going to "meet" her outside! SO AWESOME!
Yeah I mean she drinks when she’s not feeling great, which isn’t unusual, but at least she is able to stop. Her drinking at times when she’s stressed is just a kind of comedy aspect I guess?
As an Australian; we have a drinking culture. As does Scotland and most European countries. Not everyone who drinks on a regular basis has an actual drinking problem. It's only a problem if you physically cannot go without a drink.

It hasn't been easy for her, but she puts every bit of her heart, hell all of herself, into the role of Alex Danvers. Melissa does too, showing the strength these ladies have, even when off the camera. Alex's troubles tear her up, so she takes the scotch or which ever she is drinking, to silence her pains. Where Kara, she bottles it and doesn't drink it off, punch it off, she just buries and buries it. But I do say, hands down, this? This was awesome and at times like these...needed. I started to watch Supergirl because of Alex, because of Chyler Leigh, stayed because I love the show. She is such an amazing, strong, brave and good hearted person. I really look up to her. And this video, just proved that she is one of the BEST characters in this show and maybe even in my world. You did so good with this video. Portraying her, badass side but also her soft side. THANK YOU for this edit. For showing how much of a hero she is, even though she does not have super powers. (On a side note, this weirdly didn't make me cry, but it made me tear up, so jobs done and did good lmao)

Alex as a character has received a lot of flack for choices she made to protect Kara. I think people are missing how bad of a parent Eliza was. She placed so much responsibility on Alex and it warped her sense of what is important. She always sacrificed her and Kara's heart in exchange for physical safety. But Kara slowly showed her that protectthe heart is just as important

Wow what a great video! I was just wondering, how do you decide what character to make a video about? How do you structure your videos because they seem so smooth and well structured. ❤️
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it. 😊 We kind of decide just when we hear a song usually we think “This song would fit this character.” And of course we have to want to make it in the first place! Then we choose what aspects to focus on which is also dictated by the song because it has to gist the tone of it. You can just feel it and you know what would fit it. As for the structure, we pick and lay out all of our quotes first, to give us an idea on how the themes will flow into each other. So the quotes act as our guide and tell the story, then we add all the clips to basically tie and link it altogether flowing the flow of the song. Then voila! You have a video! 😅 Hope that explains it enough?

Alex doesn't have alcoholism. She is not dependent on alcohol nor does her drinking affect her relationshipal, physical, or mental health.
