imagine going to a satch concert and thinking that making a high-pitched whistling shriek is going to make things better for everyone. I can't be the only one who heard it
I have watched this video thousands of times, I had never seen it from this perspective before, as if I were watching the show myself. It made me want to attend one of his concerts, something I hadn't felt while watching the DVDs. Thank you for sharing.
@@mikeroullier6875 ah ah ah....it was a joke bro....I started to listen to Joe when i was 14 and i'm 43....Also i will see him on stage for the fifth time next month in France .Cant wait...🙂❤️🎸✌️
Never knew Satriani had blues within interest, but he does have some extraordinary runs. Schon/Satriani together is very stellar. They both can provide spontaneous licks , un-scripted tracts within moments notice. That is really something else. To just arrive, look at each other, and deliver 2nd to none thorough execution.
If I could have one artist's signature guitar... It wouldn't be that one. It would be one of his other models. L.B.'s newest white model is a solid runner up.
I just cant help feeling sorry for the few people directly bwhind this guy who have to end up watching this dude's phone screen instead pf the actual concert.
TH-cam just recommends stuff I commented on already. This makes me want to discontinue my premium account. Well done you tube. I'm happy to discontinue my 20 bucks a month.
Cool! But missing the old more pure sound from the vintage Marshalls and the Chandler delay's.This is more of a fizzy"fake sound"and Joe knows it of course. And the old Marshalls can blow up at any time so better safe then sorry.
Yes,,,I agree,,can't nail a time every nite,,but,,,it needs delay,depth at times,,,...a touchy subject,though...he had to obviously compromise here,,,😯😐imo...still unbelievable....😈
I think I never heard the sound of the rhythm guitar during a satriani concert. I can see a guy playing the backup guitar but I only can ear the bassist
@@thefog7067 but it's really not, he was using 9 gauge, that is pretty easy on fingers.. He could go to 8 in that case.. he wanted a change and it was a bad one IMO
Dude, Kenny Aronoff is a session supremo with many album credits to his name. He's played with lots of different artists and bands. He can't be that bad !
Damn... Where is the band... Joe is a great player, but without the band being heard it's kinda lacking.... Mix is everything and Joe is always 100% louder...
@@johnjones5977 Check out any other video of Joe from the past 10 years and I think you will find much the same... I walked out of his gigs early because of it...
The best guitarist-oriented bootleg video I've ever watched.. Thanks, Martin! It is a pleasure to follow Joe's fingers in this detail..
Ur 100% right , I was going to say the same thing!
Cant beat old school, where the end of the song takes longer than the song itself.
The guy is a machine.
That machine is a guy!! 😎🤘🏴
He's clearly an Alien!👽👽👽👽👽👽
This is the first song I ever heard of Satch so many years ago now. Great to hear it again, still perfectly played.
same here .. was in a pub and ran up to the bartender immediately to ask what the fuck that was haha
Joe taught everyone how to play.
imagine going to a satch concert and thinking that making a high-pitched whistling shriek is going to make things better for everyone. I can't be the only one who heard it
Grandpa Joe's still got the chops
Joe's been right in the zone lately. Better than ever.
Glad to see that Voldemort ended being a dark magician and started using magic to win some money (Love you Satriani)
Hahahahaha😂
sounds just like the CD version, incredible he's so consistent and getting older

thanks a zilliion, love the #SATCH
There is no match, for Joe Satch! 🤘
66 and still kicking ass
2:55 is one of my absolute favorite sounds anyone's ever gotten out of a guitar.
Looks like Joe could run circles around most of the guitarists playing nowadays!
I used to learn to play this song when I was at the high school.
2:30 this is magic 🤦🏻♂️🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Just can't wait to see this guy perform ....Definitely one of the guitar greats... Awsome
JS all the way, everyday!
Guitarists Nevers getting old !

2:30... amazing !!! 36:*? years of this album and still one of the best guitar albums of all time.
By God that's cheered my day up. Thank you Martin.
Yeaaaaaah baby!
Great camera work. He’s go that magic !
Saw them the day befoe at Viften in Rødovre. Absolutely great.....
SPEECHLESS!!!
I’m going to see Joe Satriani and Steve Miller July 2 in Bethel Woods NY…should be a pretty good jam
Master of the whammy bar. That was fun to watch.
Perfect Joe !!!!
i learned to try to be musical with distortion from him ♥️
❤❤❤❤❤ ilove...
i love this piece of music and you cant take your eyes off Joe whilst he's playing.... such an inspiration

And Guthrie Govan!..
Is this a human being or an alien? Amazing performance Joe!
The two blokes at 4:32 who want to beat the traffic!😆

So good. Can't hear the other guitarist at all.
Man, Bryan Beller is a busy man!

how is posible he still playing like that
Joe on fire, but was this the first time the drummer heard this song?
Kenny Aronoff is good, but is certainly no match for Jeff Campitelli when it comes to being spot-on.
,,,,,,,,,,,..........MAKING AMERICA PROUD AGAIN ...................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,New rays from an ancient sun.......🎸
This guy gets better with age
I am drunk or that is the Aristocats bassist.....
I can’t tell you if you are drunk or not, but that is Bryan Beller.
You,might be!but that is Guthries bassist!!!.😯
You are not drunk that's Bryan

Jeff or marco for me.. The feel just isnt right.. Brians bassline is bitchin 🏴
Imagine - you’re 15 years old and this is your grandfather
I want the Santana version, please.
Santana version???
What's Wrong With Beller?
Light set up as was it a school lunch
Was that Kenny Aronoff on drums?
Yep 😊
Unfortunately.
Jesus, Paul Shaffer is one hell of a guitarist
.........crickets...............
Plz play slow.... Can't understand
So that‘s what Satriani would sound as a 3 Piece? Sounds dope! WTF is the second guitarplayer about? Better keep the ES at home!
Yup a 335 definitely ain't very rock!
Is that Guthries bass player ?
Yes
Zak Wylde take notes. More than 1 lick here.
He says he doesn't but i bet he still uses really thin picks.
I got one of Joe's personal guitar picks that he used live and it's 46 millimetres
@@thefog7067 How recent?
@@ottototo8 Not too recent 😄 so he may have changed? I know Paul Gilbert prefers thin picks these days
if only kirk hammett had taken a few more lessons with joe he might have learned to go past the becoming the king of wha wha. 😂
Can't understand why he tuned down half step when he does not sing.. i preferred E standard much better
Easier to bend dem strings

My man the alien used his alien technology to duplicate himself and play the drums
Its a bit mechanical. Awesome though
Fake! He is not playing this is a cd! Shut UP and look !!!! This is awesome 🙏🤗🤘
Kenny Aronson holding down the beat on the skins.
Aronoff. And Joe has had better.

Pascal OP qui fait de la guitare 😂
Modern Jeff Beck.
Slowed down from the original but still smoking, getting old sucks
Check out the live version from Expo '92 . . . IT'S THE FASTEST EVERRR
Actually, it's not. The original is 167 bpm, and this one is nearly identical.
Bad drummer!
I bet he is so fking sick of playing that song.
You'd think so, but it looks like he was having a blast.
It's one of his most famous tunez
Sad to hear Joe playing with bad drumer! Disgusting

Joe’s skill on the guitar is beyond debate. This music, on the other hand, is pointless.
Bit like this comment really
Sorry but way too many notes.
