I wrote a book in 2013 and it generally sells about 2-5 copies a month. As long as I stay in budget, I can buy a cup of tea or a protein bar with that money. I started a podcast to promote the book and share the ideas (and my TH-cam channel). Still not much of an uplift, but time will tell.
WOW! I was initially skeptical of this video because the first one is not something I'm interested in at all. But once you started talking about writing and recording music and rental properties and (here's what was so valuable) avenues through which to express this creativity that God has given me... I was in my car thanking God 4 how he makes my path straight when I acknowledge Him in all of my ways. I'm so glad that he did it through your ministry BECAUSE I like to see Him work like that! I take screenshots or I copy and save so many posts that I make on Facebook or TH-cam or texts that I send to people on various subjects because they are a blessing to me as I am writing them. So when I see how those posts may be used to encourage, guide, or entertain someone I figure there is value to them and that one day the Lord will show me how to utilize them. I thought about a Blog so many times but there are so many topics that I'm passionate about and that are right about on a regular basis that I think I'm going to go the route of that site that you mentioned. I have also written many songs and I know it's time to record them. But I think if I can release some of the stuff that fills my mind I will have room to record. Again, this is really a blessing. I pray that you and your family continue to see the hand of God move mightily through what you're doing. THANK YOU!!!

Elaine, they are all different, so I think it depends on which particular one you are talking about. Generally speaking yes, but if one is based on a particular service that only operates in the States then it may not. But the regardless the principles absolutely apply - does that make sense?
Basically, there are 3 parts. 1. write the content 2. put ads on the content (or other monetization methods) 3. get people to read the content. You really need all 3 parts to make it work.

yep, Affiliate marketing has been a primary source of revenue for us for the last 10 years or so, but I haven't really done much in the POD space

I think in most places you can use a digital antenna to pick up local news
Put a speaker wire in the hole of the cable jack 5ft,up the wall no digital antenna nesesary
