Yeah, Nayiri is the overlord of all the northern tribe. There are no doubts about that.

This man doesn't know th history for real. Naa Gbewaa was the founder of Mole Dagomba. Mampurusi, Dagomba and Nanumba kingdoms were all formed after Naa Gbewaa death. Tohagu, Sitobu and Mantambu were naa Gbewaa's children. So after Naa Gbewaa died, Tohagu who was the elder separated and went and settled at Gambaga. Sitobu who was second child went and formed the Dagomba Kingdom at Diale. And Mantambu who was last child also went and formed his Kingdom as Nanung or Nanumba.
So stop saying the Mampurusi were the ones call Dagbamba, that is a big fat lie. NAA GBEWAA was a father to all these kingdoms ad during his time we were all known as Mole Dagomba. The Name Mampurusi means separatist because Tohagu who forme the Mampurusi kingdom separated from his brothers first. They started calling themselves Mampurugu meaning I have seperated.

I have heard this many times. The name mamprusi does not mean i seperated. After the seperation of the great dadgon kingdom, we (mamprusis) expanded and settled at a town in togo called mamproug. So people started calling us by that name. We have not and will never seperate from our brothers. Blood is thicker than water.
But then again about 60% of what the man said is not true. The Asantes never subjugated the dagombas. Lets come together -dagbon, mamprugu and nanum and build a formidable force and i can tell you we will be an untouchable force in this country. I am looking for a day when the nayiri will visit the yaana and bimbilla naa or the yaa na visit the nayiri and vice versa on a damba or bugum festival. We can do it. Peace to you my bro.

And also stop saying Ashantis defeated Dagombas. What was the name of the war or the Battle. When or which year did the war occur? Ashantis only traded with the Dagombas during those days, my brother stop lying to your listeners or viewers. Which historian wrote it that Ashantis defeated Dagombas? Infact the Dagbon Kingdom is older than the Ashanti Kingdom talk about that and stop twisting history ad facts. I still want him to clarify in the Anwaa Kotoko and the Asante Kotoko story. The first Kindgom in Ghana to write a Constitution was the Dagbon Kingdom, talk about and stop twisting history to favour the Ashanti people. The Dagbon Kingdom is widely known to be the greatest Kingdom in Ghana but for the internal conflicts in DAGBON, no kingdom in this Country wuk have come close To DAGBON.

      Ashanties and Dagombas never fought...
And again Dagbon stands for all the decendants of Naa Gbewaaa.
