My favorite house is absolutely the one you can get in New Leaf. Besides just being really big, the exterior stuff was really cool, and I remember how proud of myself kid me was when I got the entire exterior of my house gold. The customization of the New Leaf house, along with the flag of the City Folk house would be the perfect Animal Crossing house in my opinion.
The NL house with the additional customization they had in Happy Home Designer would be ideal. I wish they'd upgraded NL completely to give us the ability to use ceiling deco, rugs, etc.
I'm not in the habit of resetting my towns, but that feeling of a fresh 4x4 house and starting to collect furniture is my favourite part of any AC game 🥰
I mean, there is one single way to customize the attic: switch up the beds! I swear, I was absolutely amazed when I found this out as a little kid playing Animal Crossing, same with the inventory background. But I was sooo attached to the first bed I ever owned in the game and my inventory dress that I kept them in a special spot lol.
are we the same person??? i was saying to myself "you can change the beds!! i remember showing that off to my friends, as well as the inventory background!" lol. are those two things like a right of passage for people playing wild world ahahaha
3:46 Fun fact: You actually can change the bed that you sleep on in the attic. If you have a bed in your inventory and press A on your bed in the attic, you can switch it with any bed that you're carrying.
@jasmineoryzaI used the lovely bed. The lovely series is my favorite furniture series. I'm still sad that they got rid of it in new horizons. I know that the cute series is similar but I personally prefer the lovely series. I think that they should have added a valentine's day update that let's you craft the lovely series since it fits valentine's day.
Running most of the AC games at the same time, the GameCube and City Folk houses suddenly felt extremely limiting. No side rooms to plan out here, just a single second floor and a junk basement.
I absolutely love my RV and cabin in Pocket Camp. I have a room in my cabin entirely dedicated to villager pictures and it's one of the reasons I like that one best. I can socialize with more villagers on a regular basis and I'm not as locked down to the same ones all the time. Currently I have my island buddies from New Horizons in my cabin and my campsite rotates on a daily basis. It made it funnier when I watched the facts video where you said Bangle wasn't in Pocket Camp and I had her in my camp that day. I'm sure she was just added later. I'm really excited to see what happens with Pocket Camp Complete in December.
There was one thing you could customise in Wild World's attic - the beds. Also you could sort of choose where the house went? Like the vague area of where it is anyway. When Kappn asks you what you most want to see in your town, how you answer will place the house near the shops, beach, museum, town hall or town gate. so yeah a couple of things you missed there
New Leaf I loved being able to decorate the outside and inside of the house plus it had more than enough complete furniture sets to have specific themes to your house......Yes I'm still salty they didn't bring back the sweets furniture set
NH not having the old furniture sets is one of my biggest issues with the game. They were iconic! And we would finally have been able to use all those outdoor sets! I know they added some of them back in HHP, but it's just not the same...
i really do like your content, Elijah. you’re SO fun to listen to and i like the way you pace your work. hope you continue to do this - your passion and love is so evident, and you and your channel deserve the attention and growth!!!
I didn't think the narrow rooms had anything to do with Pocket Camp, I always thought they were taking a page from Happy Home Designer. Either way I hate it, I wanted a huge square room on all sides and attic/basement like New Leaf. New Leaf was the most fun to decorate, I was always collecting furniture sets that I liked and even created a second character to display them. I don't think I'll ever get over losing furniture sets, that was a lot of magic lost for me.
You do have some influence over the player house's location in Wild World, but it's a bit obtuse if you don't know the option exists. It's based on how you answer Kapp'n during the opening cab ride when he asks what drew you to the town: the beach, the town hall, the shopping, the border, or the museum. Whichever one you pick will determine the general vicinity the player house spawns in, so for example if you pick "border" you'll be near to the edge of town by the gate, and if you choose "shopping" you'll be closer to the stores, and so on.
Starting with New Leaf, Nook won't insist you expand your house anymore. He'll suggest them, sure, but he won't expand or add rooms unless you ask him to.
There is an option to customize the house a tiny bit in the original AC. You could put a design that you made over the window of the front door and if I recall correctly you would get a butterfly crest and a fish weathervane for completing the museum... though that might have been in later games, I need to check my town from back then.
I love my New Leaf house! The best part of the houses is definitely the home storage, especially since in NL you get the whole size in a single upgrade and you can also use item storage that works regardless of which item you use (though it'd be really nice if I could have them all be unique storage units). I'm definitely a hoarder in games since I like collecting all the furniture and clothing, and it's a lot worse in New Horizons since you need crafting materials for so many things, so having ridiculous amounts of storage space without consequences or clutter is extremely important for me. I also really like the Happy Home Designer UI for furniture and the New Horizons UI for clothing, it's so much more convenient.
New Leaf has the best choices of houses in the game. And i do agree that City Folk is under appreciated. Nintendo should port City Folk to the Nintendo Switch. Its among the Animal Crossing games i never played along with the Gamecube one.
Me too. It's so difficult to get a hold of and play nowadays, and it was never available on a portable device. They really need to port City Folk and/or Population Growing.
I was shocked when I accidentaly picked up my mailbox in nh while changing my doorplate. It's still a pretty cool touch, you can put it outside a gate or with the money dispenser and storage closet. It leaves *room* for imagination
you can customize the attic in wild world in one way- you can change the beds! have one in your inventory and I you should be able to change it! I didn't know it growing up but revisiting the game when i was older I figured it out!
Fun fact if you have a bed in your pocket in animal crossing City Folk and you press a on the foot of the bed it gives you the choice to change your bed
New Horizons is the best house for me. The rooms being different sizes and ratios helped set them apart, gave a little variety. Bathrooms don't NEED to be massive, small bedrooms are cozy. The basement actually feels like a basement given it's size and shape.
10:35 That's not an RV, that's one of those big Murrican "trailor homes". An RV would be so much smaller if you had it proportionally sized to real life. Then again, the lanes of their roads might be absurdly wide like 6 meters or some sh!1.
I wish it was that easy to get a house irl 🫠 I’ll take debt forever over relying on roommates! I like my current roommates but I still want my own home. Even if it’s an apartment or trailer

The fact pocket camp has more furniture than all the animal crossing games.
Really?
@Dradoonplushyoutube6491 yeah they have exclusive furniture for that specific game. Plus the special hair you can only get in that game.
I may be wrong but there some furniture one exclusive to that game .
@@splashtheskeleton4292 that's super cool
I hate this fact 🥲
I'm not in the habit of resetting my towns, but that feeling of a fresh 4x4 house and starting to collect furniture is my favourite part of any AC game 🥰
Yesss.. throwing together a house with stuff you get from trees and villagers is super fun
I mean, there is one single way to customize the attic: switch up the beds! I swear, I was absolutely amazed when I found this out as a little kid playing Animal Crossing, same with the inventory background. I used to have the pineapple bed in my attic 😂
are we the same person??? i was saying to myself "you can change the beds!! i remember showing that off to my friends, as well as the inventory background!" lol. are those two things like a right of passage for people playing wild world ahahaha
I was just about to comment this correction as well!
Wait whaaa thanks !? I got a fancy bed now
3:46 Fun fact: You actually can change the bed that you sleep on in the attic. If you have a bed in your inventory and press A on your bed in the attic, you can switch it with any bed that you're carrying.

I was about to comment on that as well. :)
The fact that the side rooms in your house in New Horizons aren't expandable always made me mad, they feel so tiny. 😠
In the original n64 version. the biggest house was a 1-story 8x8 house. The 8x8 basement and 6x6 2nd floor were added in the gamecube ports
It's impressive how you come up with new Animal Crossing topics. Love to see it ❤
Running most of the AC games at the same time, the GameCube and City Folk houses suddenly felt extremely limiting. No side rooms to plan out here, just a single second floor and a junk basement.

In wild world, you are able to swap out which bed your character uses by having a bed in your inventory, I believe.
There was one thing you could customise in Wild World's attic - the beds.

🥲🥲🥲
Keep in mind that New Horizons also has wall and ceiling furniture
i really do like your content, Elijah. you’re SO fun to listen to and i like the way you pace your work. hope you continue to do this - your passion and love is so evident, and you and your channel deserve the attention and growth!!!

You can customise the attic bedroom in wild world!.. kind of. You can switch out the standard beds with other ones, if I remember rightly!
There is an option to customize the house a tiny bit in the original AC. You could put a design that you made over the window of the front door and if I recall correctly you would get a butterfly crest and a fish weathervane for completing the museum... though that might have been in later games, I need to check my town from back then.
Took me way too long to realize I could move my mailbox in new horizons...
I love my New Leaf house! New leaf homes are amazing to me, but I still prefer my new horizons
16:29 a refrigerator should I get changed 💀
the videos are really genuis and i’m impressed every time
I agree that City Folk is under-appreciated. I wish Nintendo would port ACCF to Switch
Me too. It's so difficult to get a hold of and play nowadays, and it was never available on a portable device. They really need to port City Folk and/or Population Growing.
3:45 in fact.. you can change the beds though! You can replace your bed to any other bed! Works in Wild World and City Folk
I was shocked when I accidentaly picked up my mailbox in nh while changing my doorplate. It's still a pretty cool touch, you can put it outside a gate or with the money dispenser and storage closet. It leaves *room* for imagination
3:45 actually I'm pretty sure if you bring a bed in there with you and interact with the end of your bed you can swap it out :D
Your vid’s are epic!!
Pocket camp's unique variety of furniture and huge amount of custimizable space has always been INSANE.
i think there should be an attic in acnh but it fills up with boxes depending on how much storage you have
Still need to be able to place furniture on a diagonal and bring back gracies 🙈
you can customize the attic in wild world in one way- you can change the beds! have one in your inventory and I you should be able to change it! I didn't know it growing up but revisiting the game when i was older I figured it out!
words cannot express how much i miss the size of the new leaf houses 🤧
In new leaf cant you get rooms at the museum to decorate?
In wild world you can actually choose if you would like your home near cliffs or beach or river, its just very subtle
I love this videos
Best animal crossing TH-camr
Fun fact if you have a bed in your pocket in animal crossing City Folk and you press a on the foot of the bed it gives you the choice to change your bed
You can change the bed in the attic (at least in city folk)
New Horizons is the best house for me. The rooms being different sizes and ratios helped set them apart, gave a little variety. Bathrooms don't NEED to be massive, small bedrooms are cozy. The basement actually feels like a basement given it's size and shape.
Ok, that does it. I'm firing up my DS and playing New Leaf again. It deserves a replay
10:35 That's not an RV, that's one of those big Murrican "trailor homes". An RV would be so much smaller if you had it proportionally sized to real life. Then again, the lanes of their roads might be absurdly wide like 6 meters or some sh!1.
Nice
You forgot to mentiom that new leaf also had the 4 additional full sized rooms in the museum
I am SO delighted you exist and can be on the hill of ‘City Folk is wonderful, you guys are just mean’ with me. It’s so lonely over here, man 😂
12:00 Harvey’s island
2:09 you know Elijah,
Bells are tranlated into Yen and not Dollars.
So you have a much less Valuable Curency
Plz correct it if you can
Thx in avance 😅
16:11 WHAT? YOU CAN?!
Wait.. YOU CAN MOVE YOUR MAILBOX?
Embarrassingly my favorite animal crossing game is happy home designer 🙈 if i have to chose a mainline one new leaf
HAYYY❤❤❤
god do i hate looking at all the amazing furniture in pocket camp in the video. some of them should've really been in new horizons.
100 days new leaf when
I think I like Pocket Camp more. Just, in general
This is happy home designer erasure ;-;
coolllllllllllllll
Woah im early
I’m really early
I wish it was that easy to get a house irl 🫠 I’ll take debt forever over relying on roommates! I like my current roommates but I still want my own home. Even if it’s an apartment or trailer
