The bypass tray! Thanks for this! I was manually loading cardstock into tray 3, and adjusting the settings for thicker paper, but the cardstock always smeared. I was thinking that maybe the heat of the ink was too warm to adhere to cardstock, so I tried printing every other cardstock sheet with a plain sheet and it helped a tiny bit, but ultimately still smeared. But the bypass tray, huh? I did the same thing in the printer setting - high quality, thick stock - but this time loaded the cardstock onto the bypass tray and what do you know, no more smearing!
I have a c300i and when I set both the Driver and Machine to thick four the bypass returns to Plain Paper when the job arrives at the MFP. I have a Crystal Report with the correct driver but need to do multiples on the print job so we need to keep the bypass full and always set to thick 4 to match the driver. The old biz423 had no problem with this. Any answers?

The bypass tray is handy af. Brought my own photopaper to library and printed on them. Very convenient
