My wife and I have Cube Reaction. In the first year we put 2500 KM on each travelling through Europe by the rivers and on the mountains. It has 95 NM torque. The best E mountain bike I have ever had. I highly recommend that. The Reaction model has the water bottle cage holder also.
Nice, thanks for the recommendation Farzad! For anyone who is wants to learn more about that one or compare to the Supreme here, I covered the Reaction Hybrid Performance 400 Allroad here in 2021 electricbikereview.com/cube/reaction-hybrid-performance-400-allroad/
@@ElectricBikeReview Hey Court, I was glad to see in your review you were talking about The Continental contact Urban e-bike tires And I have been interested and contemplating on purchasing these tires but have not received a lot of information about them and they are a new tire and every time I call into a store that does carry these tires they don't really know much about them and I was glad to see that you test rode these tires And I wanted to ask a couple questions and one Is that I wanted to ask you if the tires are Good for riding on pavement and some dirt and gravel? And are they a comfortable ride? And looking forward to hearing back from you about your opinion on the continental contact Urban tires and wanted to know if you felt that the Continental contact Urban tires would be a good choice for the size 26x 2.20? And looking forward to hearing back from you And as always thank you very much for your e-bike reviews.
Court you’ve really stepped up your presentations………you’ve DOUBLED your excessive (subject to discussion) hand movements with a SHADOW ADDITION !! Congratulations on elevating your expertise :). :).
Hmm... I am noticing a trend with certain reviews: they are largely occurring in areas where breweries also just *happen* to be... It would be interesting to do a side by side with this bike and Gazelle - but then you do have a comparison tool on the website!
Agreed. I own the Gazelle Ultimate C380 and this bike is very similar. The differences: Cube has dual cylinder front suspension. Ultimate has bottle cage option. Ultimate has stronger rack. Ultimate offers the Gates belt drive w/ Enviolo internally geared hub. Ultimate has better location for front light. Ultimate is $4200 US. I think I 380 means more gears than this Cube 9-speed? Same Bosch Motor, same Bosch display. Oh! This kickstand on the Cube is in an annoying location.... The Gazelle nicely has it clear out of the way further back. Don't like this battery cover. Nice that this Cube has the ABUS key.... Maybe can be matched to a U-lock? Gazelle also has the 500w battery
I would want a bike like that though it’s very expensive. Going to other destinations sweat free is good. Best if it have the classic black colour option for that electric bike.

It's a small thing, but I like the spring latch on the rack. Wish mine had one, but don't want to replace my rack. Hard to find the spring latches separately to install on racks.

This is a lot of bike ..all the best boxes are checked..as refined as it's going to get . And for inexperienced and older riders that can be important.
Yeah, the cleanest PowerTube battery setup I've seen is from Trek, which has a shield bolted to the battery pack and a little flip handle at the end. The downside is that it adds nearly a pound vs. 0.3lbs with the plastic cover, and isn't as easy to replace because it's paint matched. It also makes swapping battery packs (for longer range or if you upgrade capacity) a lot more work. I like the older PowerPack batteries that clicked on top of the tube vs. going inside because they were light and simple, but they didn't look as clean as this.
There is no way you would pay $800 for a comparable traditional bike, without this motor or battery. $1800 for both is rediculously high, so this thing is at least $1k over priced. The internal lock on the battery is a lot nicer than most might think. You'd be surprised how often morons mess with locks just to be jackasses. If this were not a Bosch I would be afraid of that rapid charger (kinda hard on LiOn batteries to charge fast). I have to admit, I trust Bosch to know best. I still am not happy with their lack of aftermarket support. Sooner or later they will face a Right To Repair suit. We have not used straight gauge aluminum on traditional bikes since the late 80's! It's heavy, dull and buzzy. Using square tubes for the chain stays and that square downtube does not help matters any (the round seat stays are nice). There just isn't any good reason for this bike to weigh more than 45#'s. Adding a USB port costs nothing. Would you buy a smart watch or tablet that is monochrome? The price difference for a full featured display is nothing compared to the $3k+ price. Whether you use all the features or not, they are nice to have and make life easier for your salespeople.. That suspension fork failed in The 90's. It is designed poorly for off road control, not on-road comfort. Why not trust sales people to explain why this heavy, energy absorbing, unreliable fork is not necessary? A rigid steel fork would be a huge improvement (quicker stops, better handling, vibration damping, range extending). You can always use a suspension stem (love your suggestion to purchase a suspension seat post). Are you surprised more are not using rear mount kickstands? It's a little thing, but golly what a difference!
I bough this very model last November. Its a tank. Great bike. Corners beautifully. One thing that has disappointed is that with any weight over 5 pounds on the rear rack, like a child seat, there is crazy frame flex. I stood up to pedal and had to sit back down as I was losing the rear, very unstable. Otherwise good.
Saddle is hard as a rock. Motor is whisper quiet. Hills are ez pz, and shifting is smooth. Sweep angle of the handle bars is perfect. I would have though I'd prefer the Gazelle Arroyo for that, but test rode both extensively and much preferred the Cube's bars. Bought the Cube re sale. Tern was what i wanted, the HSD P10, but outta my price range.
I'm into my 3rd week with this fantastic bike. I do love it and very happy to watch your review via TH-cam. Helped a lot.

Reminds me a lot of the Gazelle bikes. Great price for that awesome paint and the performance line motor.

We have four electric bikes so far.. ready for more ! 😎
Give one 😂
Great looking bike! 🚴🏽
Yeah, the frame is really smooth and the matching fork and saddle bring it together perfectly.

This was the first place to find where is the charging port.
Seems like you didnt comment on the actual test ride. Was it smooth, comfortable, "zippy", lack luster or what?
Hi Court. Rider can upgrade the battery up to 625Wh on this bike. Which is good to get 130-150 kms of an average range.
Is there a pdf of the user manual available? I've looked high & low on the web with no success

Merci beaucoup pour le test de ce vélo. 👏👍🏼
would like to see bikes from surron or ones under 4k maybe midrives as they are better for tire changes.
Excellent products …
That's a nice bike
Does it have throttle mode also or are they just power assist ?
Just power assist

the charging plug cover is really a bad design!
Don't like that frame flex

Lol fail. This used to be much better on older models.

Taking your hands off the handlebars at speed is a really dumbass thing to do especially when you are putting a video out in public.
Too expensive really Too much plu this bike is Out of date. ( 2024)
