Stadium wise this was one of the best World cups ever my opinion. With Soccercity as jewel in the crown. Maybe my favourite (big) football stadium worldwide. It's such a powerful design with those massive rings.

nope, they are being used. remember some stadiums here were already exisiting and they had to be upgraded, rugby plays in some of these stadia

All of these stadia are still in good shape
We use them often. As we are a sport nation these stadiums still gets used a lot. We needed the upgrades anyway. There are many more fields we use across South Africa. It was still hell of expensive, but we make a plan to use them for sport or events. Luckily we are pretty good in a range of sports. Otherwise these would have been empty and a waste of money.
