The most helpful thing in this video is seeing all the times the dog DIDN'T cooperate! It gives us a realistic idea of the patience needed to train and eventually shows that the patience pays off! Thank you.

A tried and true technique, and I can confirm the Lucy treats are super usable and effective for this as they're so easy to break up into small pieces with the 9 "mini-squares" that are scored inside each individual treat. Not that I'm shilling for Lucy, but I do appreciate that they support Brandon!

Could you please do a command on when a dog sees another dog they keep calm. For instance:We can sitting watching tv and he lays beside me on our loveseat. He sees another dog or cat he goes into a big bark and scares the you know what out of me. Same thing being in a car he goes into barking and inside a car it startles you. I can take into the vet and it’s like he is the only one there, doesn’t pay any attention to them. He is wonderful dog except for that. I appreciate all you do and you are excellent at it.

Thank you! I will bring the down command to the next level with my 2 5 month old AussieDoodles. They go down but don’t stay and I definitely need to be close! Thanks again!

Hi Brandon! Did you give Marvin 5 min breaks like on your other videos, or did you just keep going?

Brandon thank you demonstrating with a doxie! We have a doxie and she’s so smart and stubborn so sometimes training her certain commands can be a bit more tricky. Plus with her short legs it’s hard to tell if she’s doing the command, like sitting, or not 😂

I have 2 dogs I'm currently training. A 10 wk puppy and a 7 month puppy, both males. I also have children, It's hectic. I am crate training, as successful in the past. The older puppy is very attached to me already, doesn't want me out of his sight? I have had him for going on 2 weeks. If the younger puppy (we have the younger puppy not a week yet) has an accident, then the older puppy does immediately after. I can put up with the puppies crying but others in my house can not. Plus my child kept opening cages until I showed your potty training 101 video and said after a few weeks they wont be locked in the crates. Yeah I know, but is what is, so any guidance would definitely be appreciated and I will attempt. I find Brandon a wonderful trainer and he seems gifted with animal sense. I also have a 5 yr old female dog neutered, very well trained and a well behaved dog, I love her. All the dogs get along but seems like they get off in dog world and the puppies forget about us people. Ive been attempting some separation and one on one. If all I had to do is train them I would be successful but it isn't that way. Too the crates get opened and crate time, potty time, and play time get all out of wack. I know it would only take a week or two but im afraid bad habits of peeing on the floor are setting in for the 7 month. Also when a pee on the floor occurs, do I cinder block and then back in crate or that only works with poop? I know dogs are successful if people do the training process correctly. My name is Jen 💫

I have decided it best to remove the older puppy from my family. The dog isn't right for my child. It is for me tho. It's sad and I feel responsible and stupid. He is very pretty, clean, healthy and now basically trained. He still needs another week or with full attention maybe only days with potty training although I feel the younger puppy aiding in his accidents. I hope I find him a great home. He will be a very loyal friend for a teenager or adult. He isn't mean, but seems more of an older soul. We are working on stay. He has already mastered sit and lay down. He knows not to be on furniture and bed and knows what is his to chew on and hasn't chewed anything else. I feel so sad for this dog, and responsible for him getting a good home but I need him to go, asap. My name is Jen 💫

I watched it because you used a stubborn small dog the dachshunds. 😄 I see you were back to using the mat at the end, my dachshund would not put his butt unless there is a soft padding.😄

Amazing as always to see how to train a dog properly. Ha, and how to train the owner as well! My friend had a rescue Doxie that I got for him and she was a handful to train as she thought he was always playing with her because he was not serious enough and would laugh and give in to her antics. She had a happy home and lived a good life but she was the boss! LOL!

Why do you teach a sit first? Those are two separate commands. In obedience or rally the dog shouldn’t sit first.

This is why I'd make a terrible dog trainer. I'd just give him the damn treat. Bad Deb, BAD!!!!
