Coastal village in Africa is one of the most believed area with lots of traditional customs, today i tour around one of the elders and to my surprise, he has two wives under one roof!!
The Giriama are one of the nine ethnic group of the Mijikenda's in the coastal region.
They live in a Makuti- a thutched house, they were originally traditionalist believing in gods and various customs.

Please do, we africans abroad in western countries utilise this utube platform to get intune with what's going on in africa, we weren't exposed to such relavent details of daily activities, in the west we were taught to work and paying bills, they're so many ways to keep nature intact and still live vibrant cultures.

As a Jamaican I see many similarities. For example the 3stones fire place, the mud houses, it's called WATTLE AND DAUB WITH THATCHED ROOF. THE YARD IS ALSO WELL SWEPT, some men have more than 1woman, but him caan bring her home, him have to find somewhere put her, cause that would be WAR.

I have stayed in polygamous households before in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. The ones that I have seen work very well. It can be a really beneficial form of marriage if done well.

In my country of St Vincent and the Grenadines, the two wives will be fighting all the time ,so we don't have this in my country.
Imagine they are so peaceful and even kind to each other. They are used to it.
