    Sir in the ground there is a negative charge. So why don't the +ve charge of cloud attract the negative charge on ground

    • @shaez5281
      @shaez5281 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe because the negative charge cloud is present between them thats why

    • @seemaverma4525
      @seemaverma4525 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Because between the clouds and Earth there is air and air doesn't allow any electric charge to pass through it but when it attracts each other there occurs a thunderstorm

    • @bhargavisirigudi5033
      @bhargavisirigudi5033 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But in the ground there is positive charge ....... I hope??

    • @kothanagaraju7227
      @kothanagaraju7227 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because positive charge are at the upper side of the cloud so they can't make contact with the grounf

    • @rekhabhakuni3152
      @rekhabhakuni3152 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As the charges on the lower part of the cloud is negative so as in induction method the negative charge will repel the negative charges present on the ground and that will cause positive charge to move upwards and now as the air present between the Earth and ground doesn't allow the flow of charges but the when it becomes so charged that it breaks through the insulation of air and electrons flow through air to neutralize this charge difference. This causes lighting
      Hope this helps!

    I saw 4-5 videos but the best one is this , actually I really understood the concept of lightning , everything explained so nicely , Thanku Sir 🤗

  • @trivenihighschoolsuryapet1857
    @trivenihighschoolsuryapet1857 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    There are two types of lightning i.e positive and negative.
    The difference between positive and negative lightning is that positive lightning transfers a positive charge to the ground, while negative lightning transfers a negative charge. Positive lightning is much more dangerous and accounts for less than 5% of all strikes.
    Most lightning strikes are negatively charged and make up for about 95% of total strikes. Thunderstorms that carry more positive charges in the summer tend to be stronger storms too. Just remember, all lightning is dangerous.

    1)Protons are heavier than electrons meaning they shld be below, 2) why doesn't the attraction take place inside the cloud instead of going for a longer distance to earth yet with air resistance? 3) How is the issue of gravity overcome here? Am bidden to think that sometimes we have to accept science just by faith for purposes of academic awards.

    • @supremex4207
      @supremex4207 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These charged partiles are moving in earths magnetic field
      Charged partile moving in magnetic field produces lorentz force
      This force ats in a particular direction for perticular charge
      Positive charge are pushed upward
      Negative are pushed downward
      The direction of charge is given by Flemings left hand rule
      Thumb-force
      Index-magnetic line (N to S)
      Midle-direction of velocity

    • @nishijain5000

      Positive charges accumulate at top while negative charges at down side of the cloud.
      Every charge develops by gaining or loosing of electrons. In negative charges, there is gain of electrons and in positive charges, there is loss of electrons. Thus negative charge being comparatively heavy, sinks at down side of cloud.
      I hope it helps.
