I saw him at DFW airport….sitting there reading a newspaper… I wasn’t going to ask him for an autograph but as I was walking by him I had an inspiration and said “Sorry about the dog John”… he looked up and responded in character “Thanks”… and then he cracked up and we both had a quick laugh and I continued on my way….GREAT guy!… 🎉

The dude is just a human being, making his way through life, as are we all, but he does have that elemental spark of sincerity, doesn’t he? It’s a quiet genuineness that is magnetic… invoking an aspiration to just be ourselves and to be kind. And whatsmore, if he heard that compliment, he’d probably just brush it off, thinking, “hey, I have bad days too.”

I’m so proud of Keanu as a Canadian, a man, and a human being. I will never reach his excellence but I will never stop striving for it for the greater good of humanity and kindness.
One of Keanu's finest early performances is in a 1988 film called Permanent Record, an early film about teen suicide and the effects on family and friends. It's one of those "unseen" gems, so if you haven't seen it and can get ahold of it, I highly recommend it

I saw him on the subway years ago. I immediately recognized him. He realized I recognized him and he gave me the biggest smile. I put my finger to my lips letting him know I won’t make a big deal and keep him incognito. I was floored no one recognized him. He was so very humble and incredibly handsome. I wished I had introduced myself as I think I’d value a friendship with him. I’ve seen a few celebrities in NYC and I always kept it low key.
